Overview
The F22 M235i and M240i are compact, rear-drive-biased coupes with a turbocharged inline-six that deserves more voice than the factory muffler allows. AWE's Touring Edition Exhaust for the M235i and M240i gives the car a sound to match its pace, with a richer tone under throttle and a calm cabin when you settle into a cruise.
The axle-back uses AWE's proprietary 180 Technology to cancel the drone frequency that usually comes with a freer-flowing exhaust. The clean, non-baffled straight-through design keeps restriction low. AWE quotes maximum gains of up to 9 hp and 11 lb-ft at the crank on the B58 M240i, and up to 8 hp and 15 lb-ft on the N55 M235i.
Each system is handcrafted from U.S.-sourced, CNC mandrel-bent .065-inch wall T304L stainless steel and finished with 3.5-inch (90mm) or 4-inch (102mm) double-walled tips in Chrome Silver or Diamond Black, chosen on this one listing. Engineering, design and manufacturing all happen in house at AWE, and the system carries AWE's Perfect Fitment and No Check Engine Light guarantees and lifetime exhaust warranty. One important point: AWE specifies that the M240i needs the AWE Performance Mid Pipe installed together with this axle-back. The mid pipe is sold separately. This system does not fit the convertible.

Do I need the mid pipe on the M240i?
Yes. AWE states that M240i models require the AWE Performance Mid Pipe and this axle-back together. The mid pipe is sold separately.
Does it fit the M240i Convertible?
No. AWE states these exhaust systems do not fit convertible models.
Does it fit the 2022+ G42 M240i?
No. This system is for the F22 chassis only.
Is it street legal?
AWE lists this system as 50 State Legal because it does not tamper with any emissions control or monitoring devices; it bolts on behind the catalytic converters. AWE does not publish a CARB Executive Order number for it, and local sound limits vary, so check the rules where you drive.

Shipping: Orders ship via UPS, FedEx or USPS, from our facility near Los Angeles or directly from the manufacturer. Rates for many items are weight-based and shown at checkout. If you need it by a certain date, text us before you order.
Returns: Unused items in brand-new condition and original packaging can be returned within 30 days of the invoice date, with a 25% restocking fee unless otherwise specified. In some cases we can offer a lower fee with the balance as store credit. Shipping charges aren't refundable in either direction unless approved by AutoTalent.
Not returnable: special-order or custom items, and anything that has been installed, modified or altered.
Cancellations: free if the item is out of stock or we miss the ETA you agreed to. Other cancellations carry a 5% processing fee to cover card fees we can't recover. Special-order items can't be cancelled.
Damaged in transit? Report it to the carrier and to us within 48 hours, keep all packaging, and don't send anything back without our written approval.
