Overview

Plenty of Focus RS owners want more turbo character from the 2.3L EcoBoost without turning every highway trip into a test of patience. The resonated version of AWE's Touring Edition Exhaust is aimed squarely at that driver: it adds a richer, sportier tone under load while keeping cruising refined and drone-free.

The difference from AWE's other Focus RS systems comes down to sound treatment. This Touring Edition pairs AWE's proprietary 180 Technology drone-cancelling chambers with an additional resonator, so it is the most civil system in the AWE Focus RS range. The non-resonated Touring Edition is a step louder, and the Track Edition is the loudest of the three. AWE quotes maximum gains of 22 hp and 19 lb-ft of torque at the crank for its Focus RS cat-back systems.

The system is handcrafted from 3-inch, U.S.-sourced .065-inch wall T304L stainless steel with CNC mandrel bends, and it finishes in 4.5-inch double-walled tips in Chrome Silver or Diamond Black that sit neatly in the RS diffuser. It is a direct bolt-on to the factory hangers with no cutting, engineered and built in-house by AWE in the USA, and covered by AWE's Perfect Fitment and No Check Engine Light guarantees and lifetime exhaust warranty.

How does this differ from the non-resonated Touring Edition?
The resonated version adds an extra resonator for a softer, more refined tone. The non-resonated Touring Edition is louder.

Does it fit the Focus ST?
No. It is engineered only for the all-wheel-drive Mk3 Focus RS.

Is a tune required?
No. It is a direct bolt-on cat-back.

Is it street legal?
AWE lists this system as 50 State Legal because it does not tamper with any emissions control or monitoring devices; it bolts on behind the catalytic converters. AWE does not publish a CARB Executive Order number for it, and local sound limits vary, so check the rules where you drive.

Shipping: Orders ship via UPS, FedEx or USPS, from our facility near Los Angeles or directly from the manufacturer. Rates for many items are weight-based and shown at checkout. If you need it by a certain date, text us before you order.

Returns: Unused items in brand-new condition and original packaging can be returned within 30 days of the invoice date, with a 25% restocking fee unless otherwise specified. In some cases we can offer a lower fee with the balance as store credit. Shipping charges aren't refundable in either direction unless approved by AutoTalent.

Not returnable: special-order or custom items, and anything that has been installed, modified or altered.

Cancellations: free if the item is out of stock or we miss the ETA you agreed to. Other cancellations carry a 5% processing fee to cover card fees we can't recover. Special-order items can't be cancelled.

Damaged in transit? Report it to the carrier and to us within 48 hours, keep all packaging, and don't send anything back without our written approval.
