AWE Touring Edition Exhaust for 2016-2018 Volkswagen Jetta 1.4T

Engineered to perfection, the AWE Touring Edition Exhaust gives the 2016-2018 Volkswagen Jetta 1.4T a slightly more aggressive yet sophisticated tone. It keeps a resonated mid section and replaces the large stock rear muffler with a straight-through resonator featuring AWE's proprietary drone-canceling solution, 180 Technology®, which cancels out problematic frequencies and leaves only unlocked performance and an AWE signature note.

The cat-back is handcrafted from 2.5" U.S.-sourced, CNC mandrel-bent T304L stainless steel and engineered, designed and manufactured in-house at AWE. AWE expects max gains of 7 hp and 7 lb-ft of torque to the crank, as seen on the Jetta 1.8T. Every tip option carries the AWE logo and is double-walled to keep a mirror finish even under hard usage, and the 90mm tips are individually adjustable so you can set their depth in the bumper to taste. If you later want more volume, AWE's conversion kit turns it into a Track Edition: unclamp the rear Touring section and fit the Track section in its place.

Is it street legal?
AWE lists this system as 50 State Legal because it does not tamper with any emissions control or monitoring devices; it bolts on behind the catalytic converters. AWE does not publish a CARB Executive Order number for it, and local sound limits vary, so check the rules where you drive.

Will it drone on the highway?
The Touring Edition is the quieter of AWE's two voices. Its 180 Technology® rear resonator is designed to cancel the problematic frequencies that cause drone, so the car stays refined at cruise.

Can I switch editions later?
Yes. AWE sells conversion kits for this system. Simply unclamp the rear Touring or Track section and replace it with the other configuration, with no need for a whole new exhaust.

Do I need a tune?
No. It is a direct bolt-on cat-back with no ECU changes, and AWE backs it with its No Check Engine Light Guarantee.

Will it fit my 1.8T Jetta?
No. This listing is the 1.4T system for the 2016-2018 Jetta S, SE and 2018 Wolfsburg Edition. The 1.8T and 2.0T Jetta use different AWE systems.

Fitment Notes

• Fits the 2016-2018 Jetta sedan with the 1.4T engine (S, SE and 2018 Wolfsburg Edition). It does not fit the Jetta 1.8T or 2.0T, the Jetta GLI, the 2019+ Mk7 Jetta, or any Golf.
