Overview

The Golf Alltrack and SportWagen 4MOTION pair practical wagon space with an eager 1.8T and all-wheel drive. The AWE Touring Edition Exhaust adds a sporty, grown-up voice that suits the car, with AWE's 180 Technology keeping the cabin drone-free on long trips.

AWE engineered, designed and built it in-house specifically for the 4MOTION wagons, which use a different rear layout from the front-drive Golf. It is handcrafted from CNC mandrel-bent 3-inch and 2.25-inch U.S.-sourced .065-inch wall T304L stainless, and AWE reports gains of up to 6 hp and 8 lb-ft at the crank on stock software. The Touring Edition also saves about 14 lb over stock.

Dual 102mm double-walled tips come in Chrome Silver (a bright polished finish) or Diamond Black. The system is a direct bolt-on and carries the AWE No CEL guarantee, Perfect Fitment guarantee and lifetime warranty (one year on tip finishes).

No. It is designed for 4MOTION cars; FWD SportWagens use a different layout.

Does my car need visible tailpipes?
Yes. AWE notes the system only fits models with visible tailpipes.

Is Chrome Silver the same as polished?
Yes. Chrome Silver is AWE’s bright polished stainless tip finish.

Is it street legal?
AWE lists this system as 50 State Legal because it does not tamper with any emissions control or monitoring devices; it bolts on behind the catalytic converters. AWE does not publish a CARB Executive Order number for it, and local sound limits vary, so check the rules where you drive.

Shipping & returns

Shipping: Orders ship via UPS, FedEx or USPS, from our facility near Los Angeles or directly from the manufacturer. Rates for many items are weight-based and shown at checkout. If you need it by a certain date, text us before you order.

Returns: Unused items in brand-new condition and original packaging can be returned within 30 days of the invoice date, with a 25% restocking fee unless otherwise specified. In some cases we can offer a lower fee with the balance as store credit. Shipping charges aren't refundable in either direction unless approved by AutoTalent.

Not returnable: special-order or custom items, and anything that has been installed, modified or altered.

Cancellations: free if the item is out of stock or we miss the ETA you agreed to. Other cancellations carry a 5% processing fee to cover card fees we can't recover. Special-order items can't be cancelled.

Damaged in transit? Report it to the carrier and to us within 48 hours, keep all packaging, and don't send anything back without our written approval.
