Overview

The AWE Touring Edition gives the B58-powered BMW M340i and M440i a refined straight-six voice with no drone. When you want AWE's rowdy Track Edition instead, the AWE Touring-to-Track Conversion Kit swaps the rear 180 Technology® mufflers on your existing AWE Touring Edition cat-back for straight Track Edition sections.

This kit is the rear sections only. Your AWE front sections, mid-pipe and tips stay on the car, and the straight sections bolt up at the factory hanger points, so the change is quick and fully reversible if you keep your Touring sections.

The sections are handcrafted from 3-inch U.S.-sourced CNC mandrel-bent .065-inch wall T304L stainless steel and engineered, designed and manufactured in-house by AWE in the USA. AWE's No Check Engine Light Guarantee, Perfect Fitment Guarantee and Lifetime Exhaust Warranty apply.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it work without an AWE exhaust?
No. It converts the AWE M340i / M440i Touring Edition cat-back. It is not a standalone exhaust.

Does it fit the M440i Gran Coupe?
No. AWE does not approve its G2X M340i / M440i exhausts for Gran Coupe vehicles.

Can I go back to Touring?
Yes. Keep your 180 Technology® rear sections and bolt them back on whenever you like.

Fitment Notes

Only for the AWE Touring Edition cat-back on the BMW M340i / M340i xDrive (G20) and M440i / M440i xDrive (G22, G23). Not approved for Gran Coupe (G26) vehicles.
2026 model year owners: call us to confirm fitment before ordering.
AWE does not accept returns of the Track Edition for sound preference, so please be sure of the sound level you want before ordering.

Shipping & returns

Shipping: Orders ship via UPS, FedEx or USPS, from our facility near Los Angeles or directly from the manufacturer. Rates for many items are weight-based and shown at checkout. If you need it by a certain date, text us before you order.

Returns: Unused items in brand-new condition and original packaging can be returned within 30 days of the invoice date, with a 25% restocking fee unless otherwise specified. In some cases we can offer a lower fee with the balance as store credit. Shipping charges aren't refundable in either direction unless approved by AutoTalent.

Not returnable: special-order or custom items, and anything that has been installed, modified or altered.

Cancellations: free if the item is out of stock or we miss the ETA you agreed to. Other cancellations carry a 5% processing fee to cover card fees we can't recover. Special-order items can't be cancelled.

Damaged in transit? Report it to the carrier and to us within 48 hours, keep all packaging, and don't send anything back without our written approval.
