AWE Track Edition Axle-Back Exhaust for 2018-2023 BMW M5 F90

The AWE Track Edition Axle-Back Exhaust for the 2018-2023 BMW M5 keeps the factory mid-section and replaces the valved rear sections with unvalved Track Edition straight pipes, so the S63 twin-turbo V8 gets a constant, raw rumble from idle to redline.

AWE warns that the Track Edition gets rowdy and may be too much for many drivers, which is why it cannot be returned for sound preference. The suite is modular: add AWE's Performance Mid Pipes with the X-pipe later and you have the full Track Edition cat-back.

The rear sections are handcrafted from dual 3-inch, U.S.-sourced CNC mandrel-bent .065-inch-wall T304L stainless steel and finish in four 4-inch double-walled slash-cut tips in Chrome Silver or Diamond Black. Each tip adjusts individually so you can set its depth in the bumper.

Do I have to cut my exhaust?
Yes. The axle-back retains the factory mid-section, so the factory system is cut at its marked dimples. The full cat-back bolts on with no cutting.

Can I upgrade to the cat-back later?
Yes. Add the AWE Performance Mid Pipes with the X-pipe and you have the full Track Edition cat-back.

How loud is the Track Edition?
Very. With no valves in the rear sections it keeps a constant rumble, and AWE warns it may be too much for many drivers.

Is it street legal?
AWE lists this system as 50 State Legal because it does not tamper with any emissions control or monitoring devices; it bolts on behind the catalytic converters. AWE does not publish a CARB Executive Order number for it, and local sound limits vary, so check the rules where you drive.

Do I need a tune?
No. AWE guarantees no check engine light.

Fitment Notes

• Fits U.S.-market 2018-2023 BMW M5 sedans (F90), including Competition and the 2022 CS.
• Not for the F10 M5 or the G90 M5. For 2021-2023 facelift cars, please call to confirm fitment before ordering.
• AWE notes the axle-back requires cutting the factory exhaust at its marked cut points; reinstalling the factory system later needs a sleeve clamp. No tune required.
• AWE does not accept returns of the Track Edition for sound preference, so please be sure of the sound level you want before ordering.
