Slip-fit inlet adapters give a perfect fit to the factory headers while leaving an open 3-inch connection. AWE quotes maximum gains of 4 hp and 3 lb-ft of torque at the wheels. Expect more cabin sound at highway speeds than the Touring Edition; if that changes your mind later, AWE's Track-to-Touring Conversion adds 180 Technology mufflers without replacing the front of the system.

The system finishes in quad 4-inch double-walled tips. Diamond Black is a deep gloss black that suits darker paint, blacked-out trim and Bullitt-style builds. AWE's tip design helps promote even sooting across all four outlets.

Does it fit the Mustang GT convertible?
No. AWE cat-back systems for the S550 are not compatible with convertibles.

My car has the factory active exhaust. Will it work?
Yes, with the AWE Valve Motor Bracket (sold separately), which is needed to avoid a check engine light.

Will it drone on the highway?
Yes, more than the Touring Edition. Track Edition has no mufflers, so choose Touring if you mostly cruise.

Is it street legal?
AWE lists this system as 50 State Legal because it does not tamper with any emissions control or monitoring devices; it bolts on behind the catalytic converters. AWE does not publish a CARB Executive Order number for it, and local sound limits vary, so check the rules where you drive.
