Overview

The B9 Audi A5 coupe is a handsome grand tourer, and its 2.0T deserves more character than the stock exhaust offers. AWE's Track Edition Exhaust is the unleashed choice in AWE's B9 A5 range, built around a clean, straight-through design that frees up flow and gives the turbo four a confident, sporty voice from idle to redline.

What sets AWE's A5 systems apart is that every one ships with a 3-inch downpipe featuring an internally-lined stainless steel flex section, so the path from the factory catalytic converter rearward is upgraded in one install. AWE quotes maximum gains of 10 hp and 10 lb-ft for its Touring and Track Edition systems on this car. Because the Track Edition leaves out the 180 Technology resonators used on the Touring Edition, it is the louder and more aggressive of the two.

The cat-back is handcrafted from CNC mandrel-bent, U.S.-sourced T304 stainless steel and exits through a true dual-outlet rear with 4-inch double-walled tips in Chrome Silver or Diamond Black. It is a direct bolt-on for factory-like simplicity and is engineered, designed and manufactured in-house at AWE. AWE backs it with Perfect Fitment and No Check Engine Light guarantees plus the AWE lifetime exhaust warranty. AWE notes these systems do not fit the A5 Sportback.

No. AWE states these systems do not fit the A5 Sportback.

Is the downpipe included?
Yes. Every AWE B9 A5 system includes a 3-inch downpipe with a lined stainless flex section.

Does it fit the A5 Cabriolet or a 2020+ A5?
Our sources confirm the 2018-2019 coupe; please call us to confirm a Cabriolet or a facelifted 2020+ car before ordering.

Is it street legal?
AWE lists this system as 50 State Legal because it does not tamper with any emissions control or monitoring devices; it bolts on behind the catalytic converters. AWE does not publish a CARB Executive Order number for it, and local sound limits vary, so check the rules where you drive.

Shipping & returns

Shipping: Orders ship via UPS, FedEx or USPS, from our facility near Los Angeles or directly from the manufacturer. Rates for many items are weight-based and shown at checkout. If you need it by a certain date, text us before you order.

Returns: Unused items in brand-new condition and original packaging can be returned within 30 days of the invoice date, with a 25% restocking fee unless otherwise specified. In some cases we can offer a lower fee with the balance as store credit. Shipping charges aren't refundable in either direction unless approved by AutoTalent.

Not returnable: special-order or custom items, and anything that has been installed, modified or altered.

Cancellations: free if the item is out of stock or we miss the ETA you agreed to. Other cancellations carry a 5% processing fee to cover card fees we can't recover. Special-order items can't be cancelled.

Damaged in transit? Report it to the carrier and to us within 48 hours, keep all packaging, and don't send anything back without our written approval.
