Overview

The turbocharged five-cylinder in the 8V Audi RS3 is one of the great engine sounds, and the AWE Track Edition Exhaust lets it out all the time. It takes the precision engineering of AWE's valved SwitchPath™ system and removes the driver's side muffler and the passenger side valve, so the exhaust runs in a constant valve-open mode. If you crave rich five-cylinder tones at every speed, this is your dose of steel.

AWE handcrafts it from CNC mandrel-bent 3-inch and 2.5-inch U.S.-sourced .065-inch wall T304L stainless steel with a clean, straight-through design. AWE measured max gains of 30 hp and 25 lb-ft of torque at the wheels at 6,400 rpm, and the Track Edition is 36.5 lbs lighter than stock. Diamond Black RS-style tips come standard.

The system is a direct bolt-on, engineered, designed and manufactured in-house by AWE. If you ever find it too much, AWE's Track-to-SwitchPath Conversion Kit returns valve control and a more civilized note. It carries AWE's Perfect Fitment Guarantee, No Check Engine Light Guarantee and lifetime warranty, with one year on the tip finish.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is it different from SwitchPath?
SwitchPath keeps a muffler and working valves with factory exhaust button control. Track Edition removes them for constant valve-open sound and is sold as a separate listing.

Does it fit the 2022+ RS3?
No. The 8Y RS3 uses a different AWE system.

Is it louder than SwitchPath with the valves open?
Track Edition sounds like SwitchPath with the valves held open, all the time, since it has no driver's side muffler.

Fitment Notes

Fits the 2017-2020 Audi RS3 sedan (8V) with the 2.5L five-cylinder.
Not for the 2022+ 8Y RS3, the S3 or the TT RS, which use separate AWE systems.
AWE does not accept returns of the Track Edition for sound preference, so please be sure of the sound level you want before ordering.

Shipping: Orders ship via UPS, FedEx or USPS, from our facility near Los Angeles or directly from the manufacturer. Rates for many items are weight-based and shown at checkout. If you need it by a certain date, text us before you order.

Returns: Unused items in brand-new condition and original packaging can be returned within 30 days of the invoice date, with a 25% restocking fee unless otherwise specified. In some cases we can offer a lower fee with the balance as store credit. Shipping charges aren't refundable in either direction unless approved by AutoTalent.

Not returnable: special-order or custom items, and anything that has been installed, modified or altered.

Cancellations: free if the item is out of stock or we miss the ETA you agreed to. Other cancellations carry a 5% processing fee to cover card fees we can't recover. Special-order items can't be cancelled.

Damaged in transit? Report it to the carrier and to us within 48 hours, keep all packaging, and don't send anything back without our written approval.
