Overview

The Track Edition is the louder, lower-priced sibling of AWE's Touring Edition for the B8.5 Audi S5 3.0T. It is built from the same T304L stainless steel in the same shop and delivers the same power gains, but AWE removes the 180 Technology® rear mufflers, so the supercharged V6 comes through with far more volume and aggression.

Fair warning: this system gets rowdy. Expect a much louder tone in the mid range, and S tronic owners in particular will notice it at part throttle. AWE increases the pipe diameter to 2.5 inches to help the engine exhale, measuring gains of 8 hp and 9 lb-ft at the crank, and finishes the system in four individually adjustable 90mm Chrome Silver tips.

If you want to fine-tune volume further, AWE resonated and non-resonated downpipes are sold separately; in limited cases factory downpipes can rattle with this exhaust, which AWE downpipes eliminate. The system is engineered, developed, tested and manufactured in-house from .065-inch wall T304L stainless with TIG welds and stainless band clamps, and is covered by AWE's Perfect Fitment Guarantee, No Check Engine Light Guarantee and lifetime exhaust warranty.

Frequently Asked Questions

How loud is the Track Edition?
Loud. With the rear mufflers removed it is much louder in the mid range than the Touring Edition, especially at part throttle with S tronic.

Can I convert it to Touring later?
AWE offers a Track-to-Touring Conversion Kit for the B8.5 S5 90mm system, sold separately.

Do I need AWE downpipes?
No. They are optional; in limited cases factory downpipes can rattle with this exhaust, and AWE downpipes eliminate that.

Fitment Notes

Fits the 2013-2017 Audi S5 3.0T coupe and cabriolet (B8.5).
Does not fit the A5, RS5 or the 2018+ B9 S5. Call us with any questions before ordering.
AWE does not accept returns of the Track Edition for sound preference, so please be sure of the sound level you want before ordering.

Shipping & returns

Shipping: Orders ship via UPS, FedEx or USPS, from our facility near Los Angeles or directly from the manufacturer. Rates for many items are weight-based and shown at checkout. If you need it by a certain date, text us before you order.

Returns: Unused items in brand-new condition and original packaging can be returned within 30 days of the invoice date, with a 25% restocking fee unless otherwise specified. In some cases we can offer a lower fee with the balance as store credit. Shipping charges aren't refundable in either direction unless approved by AutoTalent.

Not returnable: special-order or custom items, and anything that has been installed, modified or altered.

Cancellations: free if the item is out of stock or we miss the ETA you agreed to. Other cancellations carry a 5% processing fee to cover card fees we can't recover. Special-order items can't be cancelled.

Damaged in transit? Report it to the carrier and to us within 48 hours, keep all packaging, and don't send anything back without our written approval.
