Overview

The B58 straight-six in the G20 BMW M340i is smooth, strong and very easy to tune, but from the factory most of what you hear comes through the speakers. The AWE Track Edition Exhaust is for owners who want the real thing, loud and unfiltered. It is the rowdiest version of AWE's G2X exhaust suite, built for the 2020-2026 M340i and M340i xDrive sedan.

Where the Touring Edition uses AWE's 180 Technology rear mufflers to cancel highway drone, the Track Edition replaces them with dual straight sections. The result is lighter, about 11 lb less than stock according to AWE, and gets very aggressive through mid-range acceleration and on deceleration. AWE measured 65% more flow than the factory system and gains of up to 16 hp and 12 lb-ft at the wheels on stock software.

AWE handcrafts every system in-house from 3-inch CNC mandrel-bent, U.S.-made .065-inch wall T304L stainless steel, joined by a stamped stainless merge. A mid-pipe inlet adapter lets it work with the factory downpipe or with aftermarket downpipes that have 80mm outlets. Pick quad 4-inch double-walled slash-cut tips in Chrome Silver or Diamond Black, or the OE Tips version that keeps your factory finishers. It bolts in with no cutting, and AWE's modular design means you can convert to the Touring Edition later.

Frequently Asked Questions

How loud is the Track Edition?
Very. With no 180 Technology mufflers it is loud at all times and gets especially aggressive in the mid-range and on deceleration. If you want a calm highway cruise, choose the Touring Edition.

Will it fit with an aftermarket downpipe?
Yes, if the downpipe has an 80mm outlet. AWE includes a mid-pipe inlet adapter for the stock downpipe and 80mm aftermarket units.

Can I convert it to the Touring Edition later?
Yes. The AWE G2X suite is modular, so a Track-to-Touring conversion swaps only the rear sections.

Does it fit the M340i xDrive?
Yes. It fits both the rear-wheel-drive and xDrive 2020-2026 M340i sedan.

Is it street legal?
AWE lists this system as 50 State Legal because it does not tamper with any emissions control or monitoring devices; it bolts on behind the catalytic converters. AWE does not publish a CARB Executive Order number for it, and local sound limits vary, so check the rules where you drive.

Fitment Notes

Fits U.S.-market 2020-2026 BMW M340i and M340i xDrive sedans (G20, B58 3.0L turbo).
AWE does not approve its G2X M340i / M440i exhausts for Gran Coupe (G26) vehicles.
M440i coupe and convertible owners: we list the same system separately for those cars.
Bolts in with no cutting, per AWE. A mid-pipe inlet adapter suits the stock downpipe or aftermarket downpipes with 80mm outlets.
AWE does not accept returns of the Track Edition for sound preference, so please be sure of the sound level you want before ordering.

Shipping: Orders ship via UPS, FedEx or USPS, from our facility near Los Angeles or directly from the manufacturer. Rates for many items are weight-based and shown at checkout. If you need it by a certain date, text us before you order.

Returns: Unused items in brand-new condition and original packaging can be returned within 30 days of the invoice date, with a 25% restocking fee unless otherwise specified. In some cases we can offer a lower fee with the balance as store credit. Shipping charges aren't refundable in either direction unless approved by AutoTalent.

Not returnable: special-order or custom items, and anything that has been installed, modified or altered.

Cancellations: free if the item is out of stock or we miss the ETA you agreed to. Other cancellations carry a 5% processing fee to cover card fees we can't recover. Special-order items can't be cancelled.

Damaged in transit? Report it to the carrier and to us within 48 hours, keep all packaging, and don't send anything back without our written approval.
