AWE Track Edition Exhaust for 2018-2023 BMW M5 F90

If raw and rowdy are your speed, this is your dose of steel. The AWE Track Edition Cat-Back Exhaust for the 2018-2023 BMW M5 keeps all the engineering of AWE's SwitchPath system, including the precision-engineered X-pipe and full 3-inch tubing, but drops the rear valves. The result is a constant rumble from the S63 twin-turbo V8.

The included Performance Mid Pipes replace the factory mid-section with a 3-inch stainless X-pipe, and the whole system bolts on with no cutting. AWE quotes peak gains of 4 hp and 4 lb-ft, max gains of 22 hp and 18 lb-ft at the wheels, and 21 lb of weight savings over stock.

AWE warns this version may be too much for many drivers, so it cannot be returned for sound preference. It is handcrafted from dual 3-inch U.S.-sourced CNC mandrel-bent .065-inch-wall T304L stainless steel and finishes in four individually adjustable 4-inch double-walled slash-cut tips in Chrome Silver or Diamond Black.

Do I have to cut anything?
No. The full cat-back is a pure bolt-on. Only the axle-back or mid pipes alone require cutting.

What does the X-pipe do?
It balances the two banks and replaces the factory mid-section with full 3-inch tubing for a cleaner, straight-through flow.

How loud is the Track Edition?
Very. With no valves in the rear sections it keeps a constant rumble, and AWE warns it may be too much for many drivers.

Is it street legal?
AWE lists this system as 50 State Legal because it does not tamper with any emissions control or monitoring devices; it bolts on behind the catalytic converters. AWE does not publish a CARB Executive Order number for it, and local sound limits vary, so check the rules where you drive.

Do I need a tune?
No. AWE guarantees no check engine light.

• Fits U.S.-market 2018-2023 BMW M5 sedans (F90), including Competition and the 2022 CS.
• Not for the F10 M5 or the G90 M5. For 2021-2023 facelift cars, please call to confirm fitment before ordering.
• AWE lists the cat-back as a pure bolt-on: the inlet tubes and X-pipe replace the factory mid-section and the system reuses the factory hangers, with no cutting. No tune required.
• AWE does not accept returns of the Track Edition for sound preference, so please be sure of the sound level you want before ordering.
