Overview

The Mustang Dark Horse carries the most powerful Coyote V8 Ford has built, and it deserves a soundtrack to match. The AWE Track Edition Exhaust is the rowdy cavalry: an unleashed, non-valved system that lets the Dark Horse bark loudly from idle to redline.

AWE built this system specifically for the S650 Dark Horse, not as a reused S550 kit. Slip-fit inlet adapters provide perfect factory header fitment while leaving an open 3-inch connection, and a precision-engineered H-pipe keeps the tone deep and free of rasp. The clean, non-baffled, straight-through design maximizes performance, and AWE measured maximum gains of 8 hp and 8 lb-ft at the wheels.

The Track Edition weighs 43 lb against 66.5 lb for the factory system. It is handcrafted in the USA from 3-inch U.S.-sourced CNC mandrel-bent .065-inch wall T304L stainless with big quad 5-inch double-walled tips in Chrome Silver or Diamond Black. Since it is non-valved, factory exhaust modes no longer change the sound.

Does it fit the Mustang GT?
No. The GT uses AWE’s dual-tip or quad-tip GT systems with smaller tips.

Will my drive modes still change the sound?
No. The Track Edition has no valves. AWE’s SwitchPath version keeps the factory valve control.

Does it fit the Dark Horse Premium?
Yes. Our sources list both the Dark Horse and Dark Horse Premium fastback.

Is it street legal?
AWE lists this system as 50 State Legal because it does not tamper with any emissions control or monitoring devices; it bolts on behind the catalytic converters. AWE does not publish a CARB Executive Order number for it, and local sound limits vary, so check the rules where you drive.

Fitment Notes

  • Fits U.S.-market 2024-2026 Ford Mustang Dark Horse and Dark Horse Premium fastback.
  • Not for Mustang GT, EcoBoost or convertible models. Please call to confirm fitment before ordering.
  • Direct bolt-on with slip-fit adapters to the factory headers, per AWE. No tune required.
  • AWE does not accept returns of the Track Edition for sound preference, so please listen to the clip above before ordering.

Shipping & returns

Shipping: Orders ship via UPS, FedEx or USPS, from our facility near Los Angeles or directly from the manufacturer. Rates for many items are weight-based and shown at checkout. If you need it by a certain date, text us before you order.

Returns: Unused items in brand-new condition and original packaging can be returned within 30 days of the invoice date, with a 25% restocking fee unless otherwise specified. In some cases we can offer a lower fee with the balance as store credit. Shipping charges aren't refundable in either direction unless approved by AutoTalent.

Not returnable: special-order or custom items, and anything that has been installed, modified or altered.

Cancellations: free if the item is out of stock or we miss the ETA you agreed to. Other cancellations carry a 5% processing fee to cover card fees we can't recover. Special-order items can't be cancelled.

Damaged in transit? Report it to the carrier and to us within 48 hours, keep all packaging, and don't send anything back without our written approval.
