Overview

The S650 Mustang GT's fourth-generation Coyote V8 is the best-sounding engine Ford has put in a pony car in years, yet the dual-tip factory exhaust on cars without the active system holds it back. The AWE Track Edition Exhaust is the unleashed option: loud, raw and built for drivers who want every bit of the V8 heard.

This is a dedicated S650 design, not a reused S550 kit. Slip-fit inlet adapters mate perfectly to the factory headers while leaving an open 3-inch connection for future upgrades, and a precision-engineered H-pipe cleans up the rasp into a proper muscle-car tone. The clean, non-baffled, straight-through layout maximizes flow, and AWE measured maximum gains of 12 hp and 10 lb-ft at the wheels.

Weight drops sharply too: the Track Edition weighs 39 lb against 58 lb for the factory system. AWE handcrafts it in the USA from 3-inch U.S.-sourced CNC mandrel-bent .065-inch wall T304L stainless and finishes it with dual 4.5-inch double-walled tips in Chrome Silver or Diamond Black.

Which S650 GT does this fit?
The dual-tip GT and GT Premium fastback without the factory active valve exhaust. Quad-tip cars need AWE’s quad-tip system.

Does it fit the convertible?
No. AWE’s installation guide identifies it as a GT coupe (fastback) system.

How loud is the Track Edition?
It is AWE’s most aggressive dual-tip option. For a quieter cabin, AWE also offers a Touring Edition.

Is it street legal?
AWE lists this system as 50 State Legal because it does not tamper with any emissions control or monitoring devices; it bolts on behind the catalytic converters. AWE does not publish a CARB Executive Order number for it, and local sound limits vary, so check the rules where you drive.

Fitment Notes

  • Fits U.S.-market 2024-2026 Ford Mustang GT and GT Premium fastback with the dual-tip exhaust (no factory active valve exhaust).
  • Not for convertible, EcoBoost, Dark Horse or quad-tip active-exhaust cars. Please call to confirm fitment before ordering.
  • Direct bolt-on with slip-fit adapters to the factory headers, per AWE. No tune required.
  • AWE does not accept returns of the Track Edition for sound preference, so please listen to the clip above before ordering.

Shipping & returns

Shipping: Orders ship via UPS, FedEx or USPS, from our facility near Los Angeles or directly from the manufacturer. Rates for many items are weight-based and shown at checkout. If you need it by a certain date, text us before you order.

Returns: Unused items in brand-new condition and original packaging can be returned within 30 days of the invoice date, with a 25% restocking fee unless otherwise specified. In some cases we can offer a lower fee with the balance as store credit. Shipping charges aren't refundable in either direction unless approved by AutoTalent.

Not returnable: special-order or custom items, and anything that has been installed, modified or altered.

Cancellations: free if the item is out of stock or we miss the ETA you agreed to. Other cancellations carry a 5% processing fee to cover card fees we can't recover. Special-order items can't be cancelled.

Damaged in transit? Report it to the carrier and to us within 48 hours, keep all packaging, and don't send anything back without our written approval.
