AWE Tread Edition Axle-Back Exhaust for 2012-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK 3.6L

The JK Wrangler is built to wander, and the AWE Tread Edition Axle-Back Exhaust is the road-trip side of AWE's Jeep lineup. It gives the 3.6L Pentastar a fuller, more purposeful voice on the trail and around town, then calms down for long stretches of highway so the drive home is as pleasant as the drive out.

Tread Edition systems use AWE's proprietary, patented drone-cancelling solution, 180 Technology, to remove the frequencies that cause cabin drone at cruise. The clean, straight-through design maximizes performance, and AWE quotes dyno-verified gains of up to 5 hp and 10 lb-ft at the wheels. The system is perfected for both 2-door JK and 4-door JKU Wranglers and installs as a direct bolt-on with no cutting.

AWE handcrafts the axle-back from 3-inch and 2.5-inch U.S.-made CNC mandrel-bent .065-inch wall T304L stainless steel and finishes it with bespoke dual 4.5-inch slash-cut, double-walled tips in Chrome Silver or Diamond Black. It is engineered, designed and manufactured in-house in the USA and carries AWE's Perfect Fitment and No Check Engine Light guarantees and a lifetime exhaust warranty.

Does it fit both the 2-door and 4-door JK?
Yes. AWE engineered the Tread Edition for both the 2-door JK and the 4-door JKU.

Can I add a mid pipe later?
Yes. AWE offers resonated and non-resonated JK mid pipes separately; call us to add one.

Will it drone on the highway?
AWE’s 180 Technology cancels the frequencies that cause drone at cruise.

Is it street legal?
AWE lists this system as 50 State Legal because it does not tamper with any emissions control or monitoring devices; it bolts on behind the catalytic converters. AWE does not publish a CARB Executive Order number for it, and local sound limits vary, so check the rules where you drive.
