AWE Valve Motor Bracket for 2018-2023 Ford Mustang GT S550 Active Exhaust

Ford's optional Active Valve Performance Exhaust on the 2018-2023 S550 Mustang GT uses electric valve motors that the car monitors constantly. Remove the factory exhaust to fit an AWE Touring Edition or Track Edition cat-back, which have no valves, and the car notices those motors are gone and throws a check engine light. The AWE Valve Motor Bracket is the fix.

The bracket gives the factory valve motors a secure home under the car after the factory exhaust comes off. The motors stay plugged in to the factory harness and keep operating as the car expects, so the ECU sees normal operation and the check engine light stays off. It is a small, inexpensive part, but on an active-valve car it is the difference between a clean dash and a fault code.

AWE requires this bracket on any active-valve-equipped Mustang GT that receives an AWE Touring or Track Edition exhaust. Not sure whether your car has the active exhaust? Do I need this bracket?
Only if your Mustang GT has the factory Active Valve Performance Exhaust and you are installing an AWE Touring or Track Edition cat-back.

Which AWE exhausts need it?
The AWE S550 Mustang GT Touring Edition (3015-42102, 3015-43106) and Track Edition (3020-42064, 3020-43072) cat-backs.

Does it fit convertibles?
AWE cat-back exhausts for the S550 Mustang GT are not compatible with convertibles, so this bracket is for fastback cars running them.

Will I get a check engine light without it?
Yes. On active-valve cars the ECU flags missing valve motors, which is exactly what this bracket prevents.

Fitment Notes

• Fits the 2018-2023 Ford Mustang GT Fastback (S550) with the factory Active Valve Performance Exhaust. Not needed on cars without active valves.
