Brembo Big Brake Kits for Audi 8J TTS (2009-2015)

This page lists every Brembo big brake kit we offer for the Audi TTS (8J), sold in the US for the 2009-2015 model years. There are four front kits and one rear kit, so this page has the widest choice of any TT generation. On the front you can choose a GT 4-piston kit on 345x30mm one-piece discs, a GT 4-piston kit on 365x29mm two-piece discs, a GT 6-piston kit on 355x32mm two-piece discs, or a PISTA 6-piston race kit on 355x35mm two-piece discs. On the rear there is a GT 4-piston kit on 328x28mm two-piece discs. A Brembo system replaces the caliper and disc on the axle you choose with a matched caliper, disc and pad package, sold as a complete axle set.

The GT 4-piston kit with one-piece discs is the lowest-priced front kit and comes in black, red, yellow or fluorescent yellow, with drilled or Type 3 slotted discs. The 365mm GT 4-piston kit comes in black, red, silver, yellow, GT-S hard-anodized black or GT-R nickel-plated billet, with drilled discs. The GT 6-piston kit comes in the same six finishes, with drilled or Type 3 slotted discs. The PISTA kit is Brembo's race system, with disc springs and a centering ring, and comes with Type 3 or Type 5 slotted discs.

Please note: Brembo marks the GT 4-piston rear kit NOT FOR ROAD USE, because it eliminates the parking/emergency brake function. It is meant for track cars only. For a street car, choose a front kit.

Choosing Your Kit

• Kit: Four front kits are listed first: a GT 4-piston kit on 345x30mm 1-piece discs, a GT 4-piston kit on 365x29mm discs, a GT 6-piston kit on 355x32mm discs, and a PISTA 6-piston kit on 355x35mm discs. Then comes one rear kit: a GT 4-piston kit on 328x28mm discs. Each kit name gives the axle, the system (GT or PISTA), the piston count and the disc size.
• Finish: front GT 4-piston 345x30mm 1-piece kit: black, red, yellow, and fluorescent yellow; front GT 4-piston 365x29mm kit, front GT 6-piston 355x32mm kit, and rear GT 4-piston 328x28mm kit: black, red, silver, yellow, GT-S (black hard-anodized), and GT-R (billet-machined and nickel-plated); the PISTA kit: Brembo's standard PISTA finish. A finish that a kit does not offer cannot be selected for it.
• Disc Type: drilled discs suit street driving and give good wet-weather bite; Type 1 Slotted is a street and occasional-track disc; Type 3 Slotted is aimed at regular track days; Type 5 Slotted is a PISTA race disc for long, hot sessions. Offered as follows: Drilled and Type 3 Slotted on the front GT 4-piston 345x30mm 1-piece kit and front GT 6-piston 355x32mm kit; Drilled on the front GT 4-piston 365x29mm kit; Type 3 Slotted and Type 5 Slotted on the PISTA kit; Drilled and Type 1 Slotted on the rear GT 4-piston 328x28mm kit.

Specifications

GT kits: add the finish code to the base part number for the exact part: 1 black, 2 red, 3 silver, 5 yellow, 7 fluorescent yellow, S GT-S, R GT-R. Replacement and upgrade pads for these calipers are sold separately.

FAQ

Can I use the rear kit on the street?
No. Brembo marks the TTS rear kit "NOT FOR ROAD USE" because it eliminates the parking/emergency brake function. It is for dedicated track cars.

Which front kit should I choose?
For a street car, the GT 4-piston kit with one-piece discs is the simplest upgrade. The 365mm GT 4-piston and the GT 6-piston kits use two-piece discs and offer more finishes. The PISTA kit is a race system for cars that run long, hot track sessions.

What is the difference between the GT and PISTA kits?
GT kits are built for road use and track days and come in several caliper finishes. PISTA kits are Brembo's race systems, with disc springs and a centering ring as standard, for cars that run long, hot track sessions.

Will these kits fit my wheels?
Every big brake kit needs wheel clearance, and the 365mm kits need the most room on the TTS. Send us your wheel size and offset and we will check them against Brembo's clearance data before you order.

Fitment Notes

Brembo lists all kits on this page for the Audi TTS (8J) 2009-2015. Brembo GT systems are designed for cars at original ride height. Raising the ride height is not compatible with the brake lines included in these systems. The GT-R 6-piston caliper needs different wheel clearance from the GT 6-piston caliper.
