Brembo Big Brake Kits for Audi D3 A8 (2004-2010)

This page lists the Brembo big brake kit we offer for the Audi A8 (D3), sold in the US for the 2004-2010 model years. Brembo lists one front kit for this car: a GT 8-piston caliper on a 380x34mm two-piece disc. The D3 A8 is a large, aluminum-bodied quattro sedan, and its weight means the front brakes work hard when a fast drive ends in a series of heavy stops. A Brembo system replaces the caliper and disc on the axle you choose with a matched caliper, disc and pad package, sold as a complete axle set.

The caliper comes in three finishes: black, red or silver. Each finish is offered with drilled, Type 1 slotted or Type 3 slotted discs, and every option is sold as a complete front axle set.

Choosing Your Kit

• Kit: One front kit is listed first: a GT 8-piston kit on 380x34mm discs. Each kit name gives the axle, the system (GT or PISTA), the piston count and the disc size.
• Finish: every kit on this page comes in black, red, and silver. A finish that a kit does not offer cannot be selected for it.
• Disc Type: drilled discs suit street driving and give good wet-weather bite; Type 1 Slotted is a street and occasional-track disc; Type 3 Slotted is aimed at regular track days. Every kit offers Drilled, Type 1 Slotted, and Type 3 Slotted.

GT kits: add the finish code to the base part number for the exact part: 1 black, 2 red, 3 silver, 5 yellow, 7 fluorescent yellow, S GT-S, R GT-R. Replacement and upgrade pads for these calipers are sold separately.

FAQ

Does this fit the A8 L and the W12?
Brembo lists the kit for the A8 (D3) and does not split out the standard and long-wheelbase cars or the engines. Send us your VIN if you want us to confirm before you order.

Does this fit the D3 S8?
Brembo lists this kit for the A8 (D3) and does not list the S8 separately. Contact us before you order for an S8.

Is there a rear kit for the D3 A8?
Brembo's current application list has a front kit only for the Audi A8 (D3).

Which disc should I choose?
All three discs are the same 380x34mm two-piece size and the same price. Drilled discs are a common choice for road cars, and slotted discs are a common choice for cars that see harder use. Type 3 slots are Brembo's newer pattern.

Will these kits fit my wheels?
Every big brake kit needs wheel clearance, and the 380mm kits need the most room on the A8. Send us your wheel size and offset and we will check them against Brembo's clearance data before you order.

Fitment Notes

Brembo lists the kit on this page for the Audi A8 (D3) 2004-2010. Brembo GT systems are designed for cars at original ride height. Raising the ride height is not compatible with the brake lines included in these systems.
