Brembo Big Brake Kits for BMW E90/E92/E93 M3 (2008-2013)

This page lists every Brembo big brake kit we offer for the 2008-2013 BMW M3 in sedan (E90), coupe (E92) and convertible (E93) form. That is a wide range: GT 6-piston front kits on 365mm and 380mm discs, GT 4-piston rear kits, and six PISTA race kits, from forged 2-piece to billet and forged monobloc calipers. The E9x M3 has a high-revving 4.0-liter V8 and gets driven hard at HPDE and club-race events. A Brembo system replaces the caliper and disc on the axle you choose with a matched caliper, 2-piece disc and pad package.

Brembo lists every kit for all three body styles, so you only need to choose the axle and kit. Two 380mm front kits and two 380mm rear kits come in two caliper families. The N and P families offer silver, GT-S and GT-R. The T and S families offer fluorescent yellow.

Choosing Your Kit

• Kit: Seven front kits are listed first: a GT 6-piston kit on 365x34mm discs, a GT 6-piston kit on 380x34mm discs (N caliper family), a GT 6-piston kit on 380x34mm discs (T caliper family), a PISTA 4-piston kit on 380x34mm discs, a PISTA 6-piston kit on 380x32mm discs, a PISTA 6-piston kit on 380x34mm discs, and a PISTA 6-piston kit on 380x35mm discs. Then come five rear kits: a GT 4-piston kit on 345x28mm discs, a GT 4-piston kit on 380x28mm discs (P caliper family), a GT 4-piston kit on 380x28mm discs (S caliper family), a PISTA 4-piston kit on 345x28mm discs, and a PISTA 4-piston kit on 380x28mm discs. Each kit name gives the axle, the system (GT or PISTA), the piston count and the disc size.

• Disc Type: drilled discs suit street driving and give good wet-weather bite; Type 1 Slotted is a street and occasional-track disc; Type 3 Slotted is aimed at regular track days; Type 5 Slotted is a PISTA race disc for long, hot sessions. Specifications

GT kits: add the finish code to the base part number for the exact part: 1 black, 2 red, 3 silver, 5 yellow, 7 fluorescent yellow, S GT-S, R GT-R. Replacement and upgrade pads for these calipers are sold separately.

FAQ

Which PISTA kit should I choose?
All PISTA kits are race systems. The forged 2-piece 380x35mm kit is the most affordable. The billet 2-piece, forged monobloc and billet monobloc kits are stiffer, lighter caliper designs for cars that run long track sessions or race. Ask us if you are unsure.

What is the difference between the N and T caliper kits?
Both are 6-piston GT calipers on 380x34mm discs. Brembo lists them as two caliper families with different finish choices: the N caliper offers silver, GT-S and GT-R, and the T caliper offers fluorescent yellow.

Do the rear PISTA kits keep a parking brake?
Yes. Both rear PISTA kits are listed by Brembo with a parking brake.

Will these kits fit my wheels?
Every big brake kit needs wheel clearance, and the 380mm kits need the most room on the M3. Send us your wheel size and offset and we will check them against Brembo's clearance data before you order.

Fitment Notes

Brembo lists all kits on this page for the 2008-2013 BMW M3 (E90, E92, E93). Brembo GT systems are designed for cars at original ride height. Raising the ride height is not compatible with the brake lines included in these systems. The GT-R 6-piston caliper needs different wheel clearance from the GT 6-piston caliper.
