Brembo Big Brake Kits for BMW G29 Z4 (2019-2026)

This page lists every Brembo big brake kit we offer for the BMW Z4 (G29), sold in the US for the 2019-2026 model years. The third-generation Z4 roadster was sold in the US as the sDrive30i and the M40i from 2019 until BMW ended production in 2026, so 2026 is its final US model year. It is a light, short-wheelbase two-seater, and the M40i's turbocharged inline-six makes it a popular track-day car. A Brembo kit adds heat capacity and a firmer, more consistent pedal on fast roads and at track days. A Brembo system replaces the caliper and disc on the axle you choose with a matched caliper, disc and pad package, sold as a complete axle set.

There are three front kits and two rear kits. On the front you can choose a GT 6-piston kit on 380x34mm two-piece discs in two caliper families (N and T), offered with drilled, Type 1 slotted or Type 3 slotted discs, or a PISTA 6-piston race kit on 380x35mm two-piece discs with Type 3 or Type 5 slotted discs. On the rear there are GT 4-piston kits on 380x28mm two-piece discs in two caliper families (P and S). The N and P caliper kits come in black, red, silver, yellow, GT-S hard-anodized black or GT-R nickel-plated billet. The T and S caliper kits come in black, red, yellow or fluorescent yellow.

Choosing Your Kit

• Kit: Three front kits are listed first: a GT 6-piston kit on 380x34mm discs (N caliper family), a GT 6-piston kit on 380x34mm discs (T caliper family), and a PISTA 6-piston kit on 380x35mm discs. Then come two rear kits: a GT 4-piston kit on 380x28mm discs (P caliper family) and a GT 4-piston kit on 380x28mm discs (S caliper family). Each kit name gives the axle, the system (GT or PISTA), the piston count and the disc size.
• Finish: front GT 6-piston 380x34mm kit (N caliper) and rear GT 4-piston 380x28mm kit (P caliper): black, red, silver, yellow, GT-S (black hard-anodized), and GT-R (billet-machined and nickel-plated); front GT 6-piston 380x34mm kit (T caliper) and rear GT 4-piston 380x28mm kit (S caliper): black, red, yellow, and fluorescent yellow; the PISTA kit: Brembo's standard PISTA finish. A finish that a kit does not offer cannot be selected for it.
• Disc Type: drilled discs suit street driving and give good wet-weather bite; Type 1 Slotted is a street and occasional-track disc; Type 3 Slotted is aimed at regular track days; Type 5 Slotted is a PISTA race disc for long, hot sessions. Offered as follows: Drilled, Type 1 Slotted, and Type 3 Slotted on the front GT 6-piston 380x34mm kit (N caliper), front GT 6-piston 380x34mm kit (T caliper), rear GT 4-piston 380x28mm kit (P caliper), and rear GT 4-piston 380x28mm kit (S caliper); Type 3 Slotted and Type 5 Slotted on the PISTA kit.

Which Z4 models does this fit?
Brembo lists every kit on this page for the Z4 (G29) with no model exclusions on the price sheet. In the US that covers the sDrive30i and the M40i, 2019-2026.

Which front kit should I choose?
The GT 6-piston 380mm kits are the fast-road upgrade and come in the widest choice of finishes. The PISTA 6-piston kit is the race option, with Type 3 or Type 5 slotted discs.

What is the difference between the N and T caliper kits?
Both are 6-piston GT calipers on the same disc size. Brembo lists them as two caliper families with different finish choices: the N caliper offers silver, GT-S and GT-R, and the T caliper offers fluorescent yellow.

What is the difference between the P and S rear caliper kits?
Both are 4-piston GT calipers on the same 380x28mm disc. Brembo lists them as two caliper families with different finish choices: the P caliper offers silver, GT-S and GT-R, and the S caliper offers fluorescent yellow.

Can I drive on the street with the rear GT kit?
Brembo marks both rear GT 4-piston kits for the Z4 as not for road use, because they remove the parking brake function. They are meant for track cars. For a street car, start with a front kit.

What is the PISTA kit?
PISTA is Brembo's race program. The PISTA kits use the same disc size class as the GT kits but come with race-focused calipers and Type 3 or Type 5 slotted discs in Brembo's standard PISTA finish. They are aimed at track-day and racing use.

Will these kits fit my wheels?
Every big brake kit needs wheel clearance, and the 380mm kits need the most room on the Z4. Send us your wheel size and offset and we will check them against Brembo's clearance data before you order.

Fitment Notes

Brembo lists all kits on this page for the BMW Z4 (G29) 2019-2026. Brembo marks the rear GT 4-piston kits as not for road use because they remove the parking brake function. Brembo GT systems are designed for cars at original ride height. Raising the ride height is not compatible with the brake lines included in these systems. The GT-R 6-piston caliper needs different wheel clearance from the GT 6-piston caliper.
