Brembo Big Brake Kits for BMW G60 5 Series (2024-2027)

This page lists every Brembo big brake kit we offer for the eighth-generation BMW 5 Series sedan (G60), sold in the US from the 2024 model year as the 530i, 530i xDrive, 540i xDrive and (from 2025) the 550e xDrive plug-in hybrid. BMW Blog and MotorTrend both confirm the G60 carries into the 2027 model year with only minor changes. The 540i and 550e are fast enough that the factory brakes fade on long descents or in repeated stops from high speed. A Brembo GT kit adds heat capacity and a firmer pedal. A Brembo system replaces the caliper and disc on the axle you choose with a matched caliper, disc and pad package, sold as a complete axle set.

There are four front kits, all GT 6-piston, in two disc sizes and two caliper families (N and T). The 380x34mm kits are offered with drilled, Type 1 slotted or Type 3 slotted discs, and the 405x34mm kits with drilled or Type 3 slotted discs. The N caliper kits come in black, red, silver, yellow, GT-S hard-anodized black or GT-R nickel-plated billet. The T caliper kits come in black, red, yellow or fluorescent yellow.

Which disc size fits depends on the model. The 380mm kits are listed for the 530i and the 540i xDrive. The 405mm kits are listed for every model on this page, including the 550e xDrive.

Choosing Your Kit

• Kit: Four front kits are listed first: a GT 6-piston kit on 380x34mm discs (N caliper family), a GT 6-piston kit on 380x34mm discs (T caliper family), a GT 6-piston kit on 405x34mm discs (N caliper family), and a GT 6-piston kit on 405x34mm discs (T caliper family). Each kit name gives the axle, the system (GT or PISTA), the piston count and the disc size.
• Finish: front GT 6-piston 380x34mm kit (N caliper) and front GT 6-piston 405x34mm kit (N caliper): black, red, silver, yellow, GT-S (black hard-anodized), and GT-R (billet-machined and nickel-plated); front GT 6-piston 380x34mm kit (T caliper) and front GT 6-piston 405x34mm kit (T caliper): black, red, yellow, and fluorescent yellow. A finish that a kit does not offer cannot be selected for it.
• Disc Type: drilled discs suit street driving and give good wet-weather bite; Type 1 Slotted is a street and occasional-track disc; Type 3 Slotted is aimed at regular track days. Offered as follows: Drilled, Type 1 Slotted, and Type 3 Slotted on the front GT 6-piston 380x34mm kit (N caliper) and front GT 6-piston 380x34mm kit (T caliper); Drilled and Type 3 Slotted on the front GT 6-piston 405x34mm kit (N caliper) and front GT 6-piston 405x34mm kit (T caliper).

FAQ

Which kit fits my 5 Series?
530i or 530i xDrive: either size. 540i xDrive: either size. 550e xDrive: the 405mm kits.

Which disc size should I choose?
If your car can take both, the larger disc gives the most heat capacity, and the smaller disc is the lighter choice that clears more wheels.

What is the difference between the N and T caliper kits?
Both are 6-piston GT calipers on the same disc size. Brembo lists them as two caliper families with different finish choices: the N caliper offers silver, GT-S and GT-R, and the T caliper offers fluorescent yellow.

Is there a rear kit?
No. Brembo lists only front kits for the G60. The front axle does most of the braking, so this is where a big brake kit makes the biggest difference.

Do these kits fit the i5 or the M5?
No. The i5 has its own page, and the G90 M5 is not on this listing.

Will these kits fit my wheels?
Every big brake kit needs wheel clearance, and the 405mm kits need the most room on the 5 Series. Send us your wheel size and offset and we will check them against Brembo's clearance data before you order.

Fitment Notes

Brembo lists the kits on this page for the BMW 5 Series (G60) 2024-2027 as shown in the fitment table. Brembo GT systems are designed for cars at original ride height. Raising the ride height is not compatible with the brake lines included in these systems. The GT-R 6-piston caliper needs different wheel clearance from the GT 6-piston caliper.
