Brembo Big Brake Kits for Chevrolet C5 Corvette (1997-2004)

Every Brembo big brake kit we offer for the 1997-2004 C5 Chevrolet Corvette is on this page, front and rear, in GT, GT-S and GT-R form, plus PISTA race kits. The C5 is light, powerful and well balanced, and it is still one of the most popular cars at track days and HPDE events. That makes brake heat the first thing many owners deal with. A Brembo system replaces the caliper and disc on the axle you choose with a matched caliper, disc and pad package.

Brembo lists every kit for all C5 models. The range runs from a 4-piston kit on 355mm 1-piece discs up to 6-piston kits on 380mm 2-piece discs. Two PISTA 6-piston front kits and a PISTA rear kit are for serious track cars. Note that the two 4-piston front kits need a modification to the factory steering knuckle. See the fitment notes below.

Choosing Your Kit

• Kit: Seven front kits are listed first: a GT 4-piston kit on 355x32mm 1-piece discs, a GT 4-piston kit on 355x32mm discs, a GT 6-piston kit on 350x34mm discs, a GT 6-piston kit on 355x32mm discs, a GT 6-piston kit on 380x32mm discs, a PISTA 6-piston kit on 355x35mm discs, and a PISTA 6-piston kit on 380x35mm discs. Then come three rear kits: a GT 4-piston kit on 345x28mm discs (C caliper family), a GT 4-piston kit on 345x28mm discs (P caliper family), and a PISTA 4-piston kit on 345x28mm discs. Each kit name gives the axle, the system (GT or PISTA), the piston count and the disc size.
• Finish: front GT 4-piston 355x32mm 1-piece kit, front GT 4-piston 355x32mm kit, and rear GT 4-piston 345x28mm kit (C caliper): black, red, and silver; front GT 6-piston 350x34mm kit, front GT 6-piston 355x32mm kit, front GT 6-piston 380x32mm kit, and rear GT 4-piston 345x28mm kit (P caliper): black, red, silver, yellow, GT-S (black hard-anodized), and GT-R (billet-machined and nickel-plated); all PISTA kits: Brembo's standard PISTA finish. A finish that a kit does not offer cannot be selected for it.
• Disc Type: drilled discs suit street driving and give good wet-weather bite; Type 1 Slotted is a street and occasional-track disc; Type 3 Slotted is aimed at regular track days; Type 5 Slotted is a PISTA race disc for long, hot sessions. What's Included

• GT, GT-S and GT-R kits: two Brembo calipers, two discs (2-piece discs supplied assembled), a set of Brembo pads, stainless braided brake lines unless the kit is listed as reusing the factory lines, caliper brackets and mounting hardware.
• PISTA kits: two PISTA calipers, two 2-piece race discs, pads, brackets and hardware; brake lines unless the kit is listed as reusing the factory lines.

Specifications

GT kits: add the finish code to the base part number for the exact part: 1 black, 2 red, 3 silver, 5 yellow, 7 fluorescent yellow, S GT-S, R GT-R. Replacement and upgrade pads for these calipers are sold separately.

FAQ

Which kits need knuckle modification?
Brembo notes that the 4-piston 355x32mm front kits (1-piece and 2-piece disc) require modification to the OEM steering knuckle. The 6-piston and PISTA front kits do not carry that note.

Do these fit the Z06?
Brembo lists these kits for the C5 Corvette without splitting by trim. If you have a Z06, send us your details and we will confirm before you order.

What is the difference between the GT and PISTA kits?
GT kits are built for road use and track days and come in several caliper finishes. PISTA kits are Brembo's race systems, with disc springs and a centering ring as standard, for cars that run long, hot track sessions.

Will these kits fit my wheels?
Every big brake kit needs wheel clearance, and the 380mm kits need the most room on the Corvette. Send us your wheel size and offset and we will check them against Brembo's clearance data before you order.

Fitment Notes

Brembo lists all kits on this page for the 1997-2004 Chevrolet Corvette (C5). Brembo GT systems are designed for cars at original ride height. Raising the ride height is not compatible with the brake lines included in these systems. The GT-R 6-piston caliper needs different wheel clearance from the GT 6-piston caliper.
