Every Brembo big brake kit we offer for the 2017-2021 Honda FK8 Civic Type R is here, all of them front kits with 6-piston calipers. The FK8 already comes from Honda with Brembo front calipers. These are complete aftermarket Brembo GT and PISTA systems, not factory replacement calipers: each one fits a 6-piston caliper, a larger 380mm 2-piece disc and matched pads, so the brakes can keep up with the K20C1 turbo engine on track.

Choosing Your Kit

• Kit: all kits are for the front axle, listed GT first and then PISTA. GT kits come with a 380x32mm or 380x34mm 2-piece disc, and the PISTA kit uses a 380x35mm disc. The 380x32mm and 380x34mm GT kits use different Brembo caliper families (M and N) with the same piston count.
• Finish: GT kits come in black, red, silver or yellow. GT-S is the black hard-anodized version and GT-R is billet-machined and nickel-plated. PISTA, Brembo's race system with a 6-piston forged 2-piece caliper, comes in one standard finish.
• Disc Type: GT kits come with Drilled, Type 1 Slotted or Type 3 Slotted discs. PISTA comes with Type 3 Slotted or Type 5 Slotted discs.

• PISTA kits: two PISTA calipers, two 2-piece race discs, pads, brackets and hardware; brake lines unless the kit is listed as reusing the factory lines.

Specifications

GT kits: add the finish code to the base part number for the exact part: 1 black, 2 red, 3 silver, 5 yellow, 7 fluorescent yellow, S GT-S, R GT-R. Replacement and upgrade pads for these calipers are sold separately.

FAQ

Isn't the FK8 already fitted with Brembo brakes?
Yes, the FK8 has factory Brembo front calipers. The kits on this page are complete Brembo GT and PISTA systems with a 6-piston caliper and a larger 380mm 2-piece disc, sold as an upgrade over the factory brakes.

Which kit should I choose?
For a street car with occasional track days, a GT kit with Type 1 or Type 3 slotted discs is the usual pick. For regular track or race use, choose PISTA.

Are brake lines included?
No. Brembo lists every kit for this car to reuse the factory brake lines.

Fitment Notes

All kits on this page are listed by Brembo for the Civic Type-R (FK8), 2017-2021, front axle only. None of them include brake lines; the factory lines are reused. The GT-R 6-piston caliper needs different wheel clearance from the GT 6-piston caliper. Brembo GT systems are designed for cars at original ride height. Many PISTA installs need the factory dust shield modified or removed.
