Brembo Big Brake Kits for Honda S2000 (2000-2005)

This page lists every Brembo big brake kit we offer for the Honda S2000 from 2000 to 2005, AP1 and early AP2 cars. You can choose a GT 6-piston front kit on 355mm discs, a PISTA 6-piston race front kit, and a GT 4-piston rear kit on 328mm discs. The S2000 is a light, high-revving rear-drive roadster and a track-day favorite, and a bigger front brake is one of the most common upgrades. A Brembo GT system replaces the caliper and disc on the axle you choose with a matched caliper, 2-piece disc and pad package; a PISTA kit replaces them with a racing caliper and disc.

Please read the note on the rear kit: Brembo marks it NOT FOR ROAD USE, because it eliminates the parking/emergency brake function. It is meant for track cars only. Both front kits are road-legal upgrades that keep your parking brake.

Choosing Your Kit

• Kit: Two front kits are listed first: a GT 6-piston kit on 355x32mm discs and a PISTA 6-piston kit on 355x32mm discs. Then comes one rear kit: a GT 4-piston kit on 328x28mm discs. Each kit name gives the axle, the system (GT or PISTA), the piston count and the disc size.
• Finish: front GT 6-piston 355x32mm kit and rear GT 4-piston 328x28mm kit: black, red, silver, yellow, GT-S (black hard-anodized), and GT-R (billet-machined and nickel-plated); the PISTA kit: Brembo's standard PISTA finish. A finish that a kit does not offer cannot be selected for it.
• Disc Type: drilled discs suit street driving and give good wet-weather bite; Type 1 Slotted is a street and occasional-track disc; Type 3 Slotted is aimed at regular track days; Type 3L Slotted is a PISTA race disc; Type 5 Slotted is a PISTA race disc for long, hot sessions. Offered as follows: Drilled and Type 3 Slotted on the front GT 6-piston 355x32mm kit; Type 3 Slotted, Type 3L Slotted, and Type 5 Slotted on the PISTA kit; Drilled and Type 1 Slotted on the rear GT 4-piston 328x28mm kit.

GT kits: add the finish code to the base part number for the exact part: 1 black, 2 red, 3 silver, 5 yellow, 7 fluorescent yellow, S GT-S, R GT-R. Replacement and upgrade pads for these calipers are sold separately.

FAQ

Can I use the rear kit on the street?
No. Brembo marks the S2000 rear kit "NOT FOR ROAD USE" because it eliminates the parking/emergency brake. It is for dedicated track cars.

Does this fit the 2006-2009 S2000?
This page covers 2000-2005 cars as listed by Brembo. Ask us about later cars.

What is the difference between the GT and PISTA kits?
GT kits are built for road use and track days and come in several caliper finishes. PISTA kits are Brembo's race systems, with disc springs and a centering ring as standard, for cars that run long, hot track sessions.

Will these kits fit my wheels?
Every big brake kit needs wheel clearance, and the 355mm kits need the most room on the S2000. Send us your wheel size and offset and we will check them against Brembo's clearance data before you order.

Fitment Notes

Brembo lists the kits on this page for the Honda S2000 (2000-2005). Brembo GT systems are designed for cars at original ride height. Raising the ride height is not compatible with the brake lines included in these systems. The GT-R 6-piston caliper needs different wheel clearance from the GT 6-piston caliper.
