Brembo Big Brake Kits for Volkswagen Mk7 GTI (2015-2021)

Every Brembo big brake kit we offer for the 2015-2021 Volkswagen Golf GTI (Mk7) is on this page. They are all front kits: a GT 4-piston kit on 345mm 1-piece discs, GT 4- and 6-piston kits on 355mm 2-piece discs, and two PISTA 6-piston race kits. The Mk7 GTI is a quick, well-balanced hot hatch, and its turbocharged 2.0-liter makes it fast enough to overheat the factory front brakes at an autocross or track day. A Brembo GT system replaces the front caliper and disc with a matched caliper, disc and pad package; a PISTA kit replaces them with a racing caliper and disc.

Brembo lists all five kits for every Mk7 GTI, including cars with the Performance Package. The 1-piece kit is the most affordable step up. The 355mm 2-piece kits save weight and add capacity for regular track use. The Golf R is not covered on this page.

Choosing Your Kit

• Kit: Five front kits are listed first: a GT 4-piston kit on 345x30mm 1-piece discs, a GT 4-piston kit on 355x32mm discs, a GT 6-piston kit on 355x32mm discs, a PISTA 6-piston kit on 355x32mm discs, and a PISTA 6-piston kit on 355x35mm discs. Each kit name gives the axle, the system (GT or PISTA), the piston count and the disc size.
• Finish: front GT 4-piston 345x30mm 1-piece kit: black, red, yellow, and fluorescent yellow; front GT 4-piston 355x32mm kit: black, red, and silver; front GT 6-piston 355x32mm kit: black, red, silver, yellow, GT-S (black hard-anodized), and GT-R (billet-machined and nickel-plated); all PISTA kits: Brembo's standard PISTA finish. A finish that a kit does not offer cannot be selected for it.
• Disc Type: drilled discs suit street driving and give good wet-weather bite; Type 3 Slotted is aimed at regular track days; Type 3L Slotted is a PISTA race disc; Type 5 Slotted is a PISTA race disc for long, hot sessions. Offered as follows: Drilled and Type 3 Slotted on the front GT 4-piston 345x30mm 1-piece kit, front GT 4-piston 355x32mm kit, and front GT 6-piston 355x32mm kit; Type 3L Slotted on the front PISTA 6-piston 355x32mm kit; Type 3 Slotted and Type 5 Slotted on the front PISTA 6-piston 355x35mm kit.

GT kits: add the finish code to the base part number for the exact part: 1 black, 2 red, 3 silver, 5 yellow, 7 fluorescent yellow, S GT-S, R GT-R. Replacement and upgrade pads for these calipers are sold separately.

FAQ

Does this fit a GTI with the Performance Package?
Brembo lists these kits for the Mk7 GTI without splitting by package, so they fit every 2015-2021 GTI.

Which PISTA kit should I choose?
Both PISTA kits use 6-piston forged 2-piece calipers. The 355x32mm kit uses Type 3L discs, and the 355x35mm kit uses Type 3 or Type 5 discs with a thicker friction ring for more thermal capacity.

Does this fit the Golf R?
No. Brembo lists these kits for the Mk7 GTI only. The Golf R is not covered on this page.

Will these kits fit my wheels?
Every big brake kit needs wheel clearance, and the 355mm kits need the most room on the GTI. Send us your wheel size and offset and we will check them against Brembo's clearance data before you order.

Fitment Notes

Brembo lists all kits on this page for the 2015-2021 Volkswagen GTI (Mk7). Brembo GT systems are designed for cars at original ride height. Raising the ride height is not compatible with the brake lines included in these systems. The GT-R 6-piston caliper needs different wheel clearance from the GT 6-piston caliper.
