Dinan Cold Air Intake for BMW 3-Series (E36) 1996-1999

Instructions for Part# D760-0321B

Note:

This part is legal for sale and use on Emissions Controlled Vehicles, in all 50 states, when used in accordance with the manufacturers application guide because it has a California Air Resources Board (CARB) Executive Order (EO) number.
Stage 2 Engine Software recommended for optimum performance and drivability.

The Dinan High Flow Cold Air Intake System is a robust upgrade designed to enhance horsepower, torque, and throttle response for BMW models by significantly improving intake airflow. By reducing intake restrictions and maintaining lower air temperatures, this system enables the engine to operate more efficiently and produce greater power, especially in high-performance settings.

Key Features:

Enhanced Power Gains: When paired with appropriate engine software, the intake yields up to +12 horsepower and +11 lb-ft of torque at 6000 RPM, giving a noticeable boost in mid- to high-range performance.
Efficient Airflow and Cooling: The intake system replaces the stock airbox with a larger cylindrical performance filter housed in a separate compartment behind the front bumper, ensuring a steady intake of cooler outside air insulated from engine heat.
Redesigned Carbon Fiber Construction: The updated carbon fiber intake tube enhances durability and aesthetics, featuring an embossed Dinan logo, adding a clean and refined look under the hood.
Reduced Air Turbulence: The optimized airflow meter pipe design minimizes air resistance, maximizing efficiency for smoother power delivery.
Compliance and Emissions: 50-state legal with CARB EO D-176-14, making it a street-legal upgrade.
