Dinan Cold Air Intake for BMW M3 / M4 / M2 Competition 2015-2021

Dinan's carbon fiber intake for the S55-powered F80 M3, F82/F83 M4, and F87 M2 Competition keeps the factory idea of a sealed system and then gives that system more volume to work with. Dual larger airboxes and larger high-flow filters feed an aircraft-quality carbon connecting pipe and an injection-molded lid that seals under-hood heat out of the intake tract. The result is cooler, denser air, sharper throttle response, and a slightly more audible, sporty induction note than stock.

Dinan publishes the headline power figure for this part as +14 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and +21 lb-ft at 3,000 rpm when the intake is combined with a DINANTRONICS Stage 2 performance tuner and exhaust, measured against Stage 1. That is a stacked comparison, not a claim that the intake alone makes those numbers on an otherwise stock car. On its own the system is still a larger, smoother path for outside air into the S55 and a visual upgrade in the engine bay.

The kit is not CARB exempt and is not legal for sale or use in California on any pollution-controlled vehicle. Coverage follows Dinan's standard limited warranty: the remainder of the vehicle factory limited warranty (up to 4 years / 50,000 miles) or 2 years / unlimited miles, whichever is greater. The intake is worth 3 points toward a Dinan trunk badge.

This part is for S55 cars only. The 2016-2018 F87 M2 uses the N55 engine and takes a different Dinan intake (D760-0038). US F80 M3 production ran through 2018; F82/F83 M4 through 2020; F87 M2 Competition through 2021.
