Overview

Dinan Cold Air Intake for BMW M550i / M850i 2019-2025

Instructions for Part# D760-0071

Note:

This part is legal under the provisions of EPA’s Tampering Policy dated November 23rd, 2020. The company has reasonable basis (test results) to verify that this product allows the vehicle to operate within legal emissions standards and is therefore legal to be sold for on-street use in all states that accept the legal provisions of the Clean Air Act and the EPA Tampering Policy. This product is NOT LEGAL FOR SALE OR USE IN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA.
D760-0071 is only compatible with the LCI M550i (2020+) and G1x M850i. The pre-LCI M550i engine bay layout is substantially different and not compatible with the Dinan intake system.

Upgrade your M550i or M850i engine bay with the Dinan Carbon Fiber Intake System, designed to enhance top-end power, improve throttle response, and transform the engine bay's look. This intake maximizes airflow to the powerful twin-turbo V8 by expanding the airbox volume and incorporating high-flow cone filters, which allow more cold air intake and reduce restrictions. The elegant 2x2 gloss carbon fiber weave also elevates the engine’s visual appeal, adding a bold and sophisticated touch.

Key Features:

Power Gains:
- Increases top-end power by up to +17 WHP and +18 lb-ft of torque at 5500 RPM without further modifications.
- Boosts throttle response and airflow capacity, enabling the engine to breathe more freely.
Enhanced Airbox and Filter:
- Enlarged airbox lids increase air volume by 54%.
- 34% larger high-flow cone filters (stock: 76.3 in²; Dinan: 102.1 in²) maximize intake surface area.
Cold Air and Optimal Flow:
- Sealed system ensures only cold, outside air is used for intake, improving efficiency.
- Organically shaped intake piping minimizes restrictions, allowing smoother airflow to the turbos.
Premium Design:
- 2x2 gloss carbon fiber construction for a muscular, high-end visual upgrade.
- Easy, straightforward installation.
