After much anticipation, we are pleased to release our lowering spring kit for the 2017+ Audi RS3 (8V) sedan. With the success of our 8V S3 spring, we have been eager to apply our experience to the RS3 platform. Similar to our other spring offerings, we went into the development process with a goal of maintaining OE ride quality and characteristics, while offering an aesthetically pleasing and functional drop. After testing multiple revisions on our in-house RS3, we feel that we have met and exceeded this goal.
We specifically opted for a linear spring design (similar to OEM), as in our experience, this pairs very well with the stock dampers. For those who've had a poor experience in the past with lowering springs feeling bouncy, crashy and all around poor in terms of ride, we feel that our lowering springs will be a welcome improvement.
Each spring set is 100% made in the USA exclusively for EMD Auto. The springs are made of high tensile chrome silicon and each unit is shot peened, pre-set and 100% tested to ensure all the critical dimensions and rate/loads are within tolerance. The springs are then zinc primered for corrosion resistance and finished in a gloss black powder coat for a factory appearance.

Stock Spring Rate: 260 lb/in (Front) / 270 lb/in (Rear)
eMMOTION Spring Rate: 275 lb/in (Front) / 300 lb/in (Rear)
Lowering (Front): Approximately 1.0 inches
Lowering (Rear): Approximately 0.8 inches
Yes, these springs are compatible with magnetic ride control. They pair extremely well with the adjustable dampening, as they maintain the distinct ride characteristics between the different modes.
Are these springs okay for a daily driver?
Yes, these springs were specifically designed for daily driven vehicles. They were designed to maintain the factory ride quality.
Will lowering springs cause my factory shocks and struts to wear out prematurely?
Our springs are a linear rate design, similar to the OEM units. As such, they are not expected to cause additional wear on the shocks and struts. The spring heights are also designed to stay within the travel range of the factory shocks and struts to ensure longevity of the factory components.
Will there be any rubbing with these springs?
With most wheel and tire setups, there will be no rubbing. We typically recommend a 19x8.5 ET35 wheel for a flush fit without rubbing. We have some customers running up to a 19x9 ET40 with a 255 series tire, with little to no reported rubbing.
Do I need to trim the bump stops?
The bump stops do not need to be trimmed on the S3. On the A3, we recommend trimming them 0.5" front and rear.
What do the rear plastic pads do?
Our reverse rake adapter pads offer some adjustability of the body line of the car. For a level body line, we recommend not installing the rear pads. For an even tire to fender gap (and a slight forward rake body line), we recommend installing the rear pads. The pads go on top of the rear rubber pad, against the body.

If a product is ordered and not wanted, the UNUSED item can be returned for a 25% restocking fee unless otherwise specified. In some cases, we may offer the ability to return the item to us for a lesser restocking fee and then keep the balance as a store credit. To return an item, it must be in brand new condition with original packaging.
We cannot accept a return on special ordered or custom items.
Shipping is non refundable in either direction unless approved by AutoTalent. All items wanting to be return MUST be reported within 30 days of the original invoice date. No items will be returnable after 30 days. All products shipped from the AutoTalent facility are shipped via FedEx, USPS, or USPS. Some packages shipped from the manufacturer may or may not require signatures for package release.
Special Order Items
Some items may be special order specifically for the customer’s vehicle. These items generally require a deposit or paid in full. Once this deposit amount is notified to the customer and they agree to order the special order item, the deposit becomes non-refundable. These special order items cannot be returned or resold. Cancellations are not allowed on special order parts.
AutoTalent DOES NOT REFUND SHIPPING CHARGES. If you modify, install, or alter the item in any form, we cannot accept it as a return. We will not cover any expenses related to the product or installation, and you may be required to purchase a replacement.
** All cancellations that are requested that are NOT due to items not being in stock or delayed by the manufacturer are subject to a 5% processing fee. When you place an order with us we pay credit card fees that are NOT returned back to us. We will absorb these fees if we do not have the item in stock OR if you agree to the original ETA and that ETA is NOT met. If you decide to cancel for any other reason you will not receive this 5% fee back
We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.
