Eventuri Gloss Carbon Intake for Toyota GR86 2.4L FA24 2022-2026

The Eventuri black carbon intake for the Toyota GR86 was developed for the naturally aspirated FA24 2.4L boxer engine through more than 125 dyno runs on stock and tuned cars. Eventuri tested intake lengths, duct openings and internal baffles before settling on the final layout, which measured 10-14 hp and 10-11 lb-ft over the factory airbox.

Because the FA24 is sensitive to intake air temperature, the first priority was a fully sealed system. Testing on the stock ECU also showed a dip in power around 6000 rpm, and the final configuration was chosen to keep that dip small while holding the gains toward the top of the rev range.

The system is built around Eventuri's patented carbon Venturi housing. It shrouds a reverse-mounted cone filter and narrows toward the tubing, acting like a large velocity stack that speeds up the air and keeps it smooth on the way to the engine.

Cold air reaches the housing through a carbon dual-feed duct that draws from both openings in the slam panel area, the least restrictive arrangement Eventuri found. An expanding rubber seal joins the duct to the housing, and two laser-cut scoops behind the lower grille push outside air up into the duct while the car is moving.

Fitment Notes

• Front bumper cover removal is required. Professional installation is recommended, as the headlight washer covers and their clips are delicate.
• An aftermarket oil cooler can take the space the two front scoops need. The rest of the system installs as normal.
• Some photos show the optional Eventuri carbon engine cover, sold separately.
• Not eligible for return once opened.
