Fabspeed 993 Carrera Cat Bypass X-Pipe

Fabspeed 993 Carrera Cat Bypass X-Pipe replaces the factory catalytic converter section of the air-cooled 993 Carrera with an investment-cast X-pipe and free-flowing mandrel-bent tubing. On Fabspeed's in-house Dynojet it added 18 whp and 19 lb-ft, sharpened throttle response and took 11 lbs off the rear of the car. The sound gets much louder, with a raw, race-car edge at high rpm.

Bischoff or Gillet flanges

Porsche changed exhaust suppliers during 1996. Cars built through mid-1996 use Bischoff-style flanges and cars built from mid-1996 to 1998 use Gillet-style flanges, so the X-pipe is sold in both versions. Check the flanges on your car (the product photos show both) or call us with your VIN before ordering. The factory ball-joint clamps are re-used, and the factory metal exhaust donut is not needed with the Fabspeed design.

Emissions and use

This X-pipe removes catalytic converters, so Fabspeed sells it for closed-course, track and off-road use only, never for public roads. On OBD2 cars it can turn on a check engine light. Check your state and local emissions rules before you buy.
