Use

Cat bypass parts remove the catalytic converters and are sold for off-road and competition use only. They are not legal for use on public roads in the US.

Installation

Plan for a professional install. The part bolts to the factory mounting points, and the factory gaskets can be reused if they are in good condition. Re-torque the fasteners after the first heat cycle.

Install

Fabspeed designs it to bolt on in place of the factory parts, with no cutting or welding.

Fitment note

Fits 1999-2004 996 Carrera, Carrera 4 and Carrera 4S coupes, cabriolets and Targas as sold in the US (the EPA lists these under 911 Carrera, Carrera 2 and Carrera 4).

Emissions and use

This cat bypass X-pipe removes catalytic converters, so Fabspeed sells it for closed-course, track and off-road use only, never for public roads. On OBD2 cars it can turn on a check engine light. Check your state and local emissions rules before you buy.
