Fabspeed 997.2 GT3 Competition Race X-Pipe: a cat-back competition X-pipe that replaces the factory rear muffler for a raw race sound and lower weight, for the 2010-2011 Porsche 997.2 GT3 / GT3 RS.

Sound

Sound and use

Removing a muffler makes the exhaust louder, especially at cold start and wide-open throttle. Expect more drone at highway speeds than with the factory system. Installation uses the factory mounting points and hardware.

Install

Fabspeed designs it to bolt on in place of the factory parts, with no cutting or welding.

Fitment note

Fits the 997.2 GT3 and GT3 RS as sold in the US for 2010-2011.

Emissions and use

This race X-pipe removes catalytic converters, so Fabspeed sells it for closed-course, track and off-road use only, never for public roads. On OBD2 cars it can turn on a check engine light. Check your state and local emissions rules before you buy.
