Why headers matter

Headers set how well the flat-six breathes. Smooth mandrel-bent primaries and merge collectors scavenge exhaust pulses more efficiently than the factory manifolds, which helps power and throttle response.

Use

Cat bypass parts remove the catalytic converters and are sold for off-road and competition use only. They are not legal for use on public roads in the US.

Installation

Plan for a professional install. The part bolts to the factory mounting points, and the factory gaskets can be reused if they are in good condition. Re-torque the fasteners after the first heat cycle.

Fitment note

Fits 2009-2011 997.2 Carrera, Carrera S, Carrera 4 and Carrera 4S coupes and cabriolets as sold in the US. Model year 2012 was split between the 997.2 and the 991, so confirm your chassis before ordering a 2012 car. Works with the factory center muffler or the Fabspeed center muffler bypass X-pipe.
