Fabspeed BMW M2 F87 Sport Cat Downpipe

Fabspeed BMW M2 F87 Sport Cat Downpipe replaces the restrictive factory downpipe on the 2016-2018 BMW M2 with a high-flow downpipe built around a genuine HJS 200-cell catalytic converter. It frees up the N55 turbo, adds power and a sharper sound, and Fabspeed guarantees no catalyst-generated check engine light. It is for the original F87 M2 with the N55 engine, not the 2019 and later M2 Competition with the S55.

Why HJS

HJS converters are made in Germany on a metallic substrate. Fabspeed rates them at up to 90-93% of the flow of a straight pipe, so you get much of the sound of a test pipe while the exhaust is still cleaned enough to avoid a catalyst warning light. Fabspeed uses the same cat core on its Ferrari 458 Italia parts.

Emissions and use

The HJS sport catalytic converters keep catalytic function, but Fabspeed lists them as not CARB or EPA certified, so this part is sold for closed-course and off-road use. Check your state and local emissions rules before you buy.
