GiroDisc 2-Piece Dimpled Slotted Rear Rotors 2019-2027 Mercedes-AMG G63

GiroDisc dimpled and slotted 2-piece rear rotors for the 2019-2027 Mercedes-AMG G63. Each rotor pairs a dimpled and slotted iron ring with a lightweight aluminum hat, so it runs cooler and weighs less than a one-piece disc. GiroDisc builds its rotors for drivers who take their cars to the track, and they stay quiet and smooth enough for daily use.

Built for heat

The center hat is machined from US-sourced 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum. The ring is GiroDisc's own proprietary cast iron, poured in the USA and machined start to finish in GiroDisc's shop. A curved vane design developed in racing works as a centrifugal pump, forcing cooling air through the disc to keep temperatures in check through long sessions. Lighter rotors also cut rotating and unsprung weight, which helps acceleration and suspension response.

Floating, but quiet

Ring and hat are joined by 10 high-strength alloy steel drive pins, made by GiroDisc in the USA and cadmium plated for corrosion resistance. The pins carry the braking load while allowing axial and radial float between the hat and the ring. Anti-noise spring washers let the ring grow with heat without the cold rattle typical of floating rotors, and the float lets the ring center itself between the pads.

Reusable hats

Because the hat is a separate part, you only replace the iron when it wears out. New GiroDisc rings (D2-260DS) bolt onto the hats you already have, which costs much less over time than buying complete rotors. Replace the rings when they reach minimum thickness, or sooner if a crack reaches the outer edge.

What's Included

Two assembled rear rotors, one for each side, with each iron ring already mounted to its aluminum hat. Brake pads are not included.
