981 Cayman/S/GTS/Spyder/GT4 DFI:
After a very extensive R & D program we are proud to launch the new 981 IPD 82mm Competition Plenums. We only offer "Competition" versions of the 981 Plenums which upgrades the factory 74mm throttle body with the larger 997 GT3 82mm throttle body. This combination has proven to be considerably more popular and deliver even more performance. This Competition version will work with both 3.4L "S" and 2.9L "Non-S" applications.
The 981 intake is nearly identical to the 987.2 intake. Porsche made a few upgrades with the 981, most notably being that the 981 draws outside air from both driver and passenger air intakes instead of the driver's side only as previously found with all 986, 987 and 987.2 applications. IPD has developed a custom silicone hose designed to perfectly fit the larger 82mm TB and considerably improve air flow.
The new 981 Plenums also benefits from the internal dimpling effect that we are now implementing on all future Plenums. This internal dimpling allows us to control the boundary layer and maximize air flow. Just like a dimpled golf ball travels farther than a smooth golf ball. Controlled turbulent air creates less friction and "tumbles" over a given area more efficiently.
Power gains with the 981 Competition Plenum are virtually the same as with the 987.2 Competition Plenum, putting down 20 horsepower and 16 foot pounds of torque at the wheels. The bulk of the power gains from the IPD Plenum begin around 4000 rpm, continues all the way through to redline and become fully realized in the 6000 rpm range. IPD performance gains stay above both factory power curves throughout the entire rev range.
981 DFI Cayman Spyder/GT4 (3.8L) IPD:

All IPD products are designed and manufactured to deliver increased performance for Porsches that are strictly driven on public roadways. All IPD Plenums come with a full 2 year manufacturer’s warranty to the original purchaser that guarantees all IPD product will be free of any manufacturing defects or cause of any issues or problems related to the vehicle’s engine. All IPD Plenum warranties are expressly voided if installed and driven off-road or on race tracks.
The 981 Competition 82mm IPD Plenum requires the additional purchase of the 997 GT3 82mm TB.

The 981 Competition 82mm IPD Plenum requires the additional purchase of the 997 GT3 82mm TB.
997 GT3 82mm Porsche Throttle Body:
This is the larger Genuine Porsche Throttle Body from Germany required to fit the larger 82mm TB

Returns Policy
If a product is ordered and not wanted, the UNUSED item can be returned for a 25% restocking fee unless otherwise specified. In some cases, we may offer the ability to return the item to us for a lesser restocking fee and then keep the balance as a store credit. To return an item, it must be in brand new condition with original packaging.
We cannot accept a return on special ordered or custom items.
Shipping is non refundable in either direction unless approved by AutoTalent. All items wanting to be return MUST be reported within 30 days of the original invoice date. No items will be returnable after 30 days. All products shipped from the AutoTalent facility are shipped via FedEx, USPS, or USPS. Some packages shipped from the manufacturer may or may not require signatures for package release.
Special Order Items
Some items may be special order specifically for the customer’s vehicle. These items generally require a deposit or paid in full. Once this deposit amount is notified to the customer and they agree to order the special order item, the deposit becomes non-refundable. These special order items cannot be returned or resold. Cancellations are not allowed on special order parts.
AutoTalent DOES NOT REFUND SHIPPING CHARGES. If you modify, install, or alter the item in any form, we cannot accept it as a return. We will not cover any expenses related to the product or installation, and you may be required to purchase a replacement.
** All cancellations that are requested that are NOT due to items not being in stock or delayed by the manufacturer are subject to a 5% processing fee. When you place an order with us we pay credit card fees that are NOT returned back to us. We will absorb these fees if we do not have the item in stock OR if you agree to the original ETA and that ETA is NOT met. If you decide to cancel for any other reason you will not receive this 5% fee back
Shipping
We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.
