IPE Cat-Back Exhaust Porsche 911 Carrera 992.2 2024+

The 992 generation of the 911 is quick and well mannered, and its stock exhaust keeps the noise down. IPE's cat-back gives the flat-six a fuller voice through a Valvetronic muffler that works with the car's own valve control. Choose stainless or titanium, and add a downpipe if you want one.

About IPE

IPE, short for Innotech Performance Exhaust, was founded in 1998 and builds exhausts for performance and supercar platforms. Its systems are handcrafted from T304 stainless steel and Grade 1 titanium and joined with TIG welding, which gives clean, strong welds on thin-wall tube. How the Valvetronic muffler works

With the valves closed, exhaust gas takes a smaller path, which keeps the car quiet around town and on the highway. With the valves open, the gas has a freer route out, and the car gets louder with a more open tone. IPE's systems offer On, Off and Auto modes. In Off mode the valves open on their own at 4,000 RPM as a safeguard.

Valve control

This system is made to work with the factory valve control, so there is no remote or OBD option for this car. The valves in the IPE muffler open and close with the car's own logic.

• Optional Downpipe: Cat-Back Only, or add a catted or catless downpipe at the price shown.

Good to know before you buy

• IPE says this model works only with the factory valve control system, and only with the stock tips. No IPE remote or OBD control is offered.
• IPE says headers, downpipe and muffler can be bought separately. Headers are not on this page.
• IPE also lists a Double X muffler version of this system, but its price list gives no part number, so it is not on this page.
• IPE sells catted (200-cell) and catless downpipes for motorsport and track use only. A catless pipe can trigger a check engine light, and IPE does not cover that under warranty, so plan on an ECU tune.
• IPE says this fitment is not compatible with the GTS.
• IPE says the factory valve logic opens the valves only about 30%, and that ECU programming is needed for full valve opening.
• IPE gives a one-year limited warranty from the ship date. It does not cover wear items such as gaskets, springs and heat wrap, or damage from poor installation. Tips are decorative, so IPE does not accept appearance returns once they are installed.
• Fitment follows IPE's price-list application. Confirm your car's configuration before ordering.
