Overview

M-Engineering's ECU calibration for the 991.2 GT3 / GT3 Touring / GT3 RS is a bench flash: the ECU comes out of the car, ships to M-Engineering HQ and is returned with the new software, typically within about 24 hours of arrival. The calibration sharpens throttle response, removes the top speed limiter and revises air/fuel ratios and ignition timing.

The calibration covers the 4.0-liter GT3, GT3 Touring and GT3 RS. Pick Stage 1 if the car keeps its stock headers, or Stage 2 once aftermarket headers are fitted; both stages are offered for 91, 93 and 100 octane and E85. Live Map Switching from the cruise stalk lets you keep several of those maps loaded, along with a stock-power map and a valet map.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a bench flash or an OBD flash?
Bench. The 991.2 ECU is removed and sent to M-Engineering HQ, flashed there, and shipped back, usually about 24 hours after it arrives. There is no at-home OBD flashing for this calibration.

How much power does it add?
M-Engineering publishes wheel-horsepower dyno charts for each stage in its calibration notes, measured on a DynoJet 424 Linx, rather than a single headline figure. Your result depends on the stage, the fuel and the hardware fitted.

Which fuels are supported?
Stage 1 and Stage 2 maps are available for 91, 93 and 100 octane and for E85, and Live Map Switching lets you carry several of them at once.
