M-Engineering M-Tuner Tune for Porsche 992.1 911 Turbo S 2021-2024

The M-Engineering M-Tuner Suite turns the 992.1 Porsche 911 Turbo and Turbo S into a car you can tune at home. Plug the wireless M-Tuner v3 dongle into the OBD port, connect a Windows laptop, and flash M-Engineering's Stage 1 or Stage 2 calibration. The ECU never leaves the car. The same software reads and clears faults, datalogs, shows live data, and can return the car to stock whenever you need it.

M-Engineering offers ready-made Stage 1 and Stage 2 calibrations in 91, 93 and 100 octane, along with E30 ethanol maps. According to M-Engineering, its refined calibration turns a stock 992 Turbo S into a reliable 9-second quarter-mile car. Its custom features, such as the PSE exhaust valve modification, are added at no charge on request.

Recommendations

• M-Engineering always recommends new factory spark plugs gapped down to .022 when tuning.
• Sticky tires, such as Toyo R888R or Cup 2, run at lower pressures, help put the power down.
• Although it is very uncommon, the 992 platform has a factory TSB for injector failures. Keep this in mind when you plan your tune.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a bench flash or an OBD flash?
OBD. The 992.1 Turbo and Turbo S are flashed at home through the OBD-II port with the wireless M-Tuner dongle, and you do not need to remove or mail in the ECU. Optional PDK2 transmission tuning is a separate product, and it does require removing the PDK2 module and sending it to M-Engineering.

How much power does the tune add?
For the Turbo S on Stage 1, M-Engineering publishes about +114whp and +145 lb-ft on 93 octane, with peaks of 700whp on 91, 721whp on 93 and 751whp on 100 octane. All figures are measured at the wheels. M-Engineering has not yet published official figures for the Turbo base model.

Can I go back to stock for a dealer visit?
Yes. M-Tuner includes an uninstall file that verifies and restores your original CALID and CVN. M-Engineering says you can then visit the dealership without any worry.

Fitment notes

This tune is for the 992.1-generation 911 Turbo and Turbo S. It does not fit the newer 992.2 generation. M-Engineering's calibration notes and figures currently cover the Turbo S.
