Overview

M-Engineering offers remote ProTuning to customers who own the M-Tuner Suite for the 991.2 and the 4-cylinder 718. It is the route for cars with parts configurations that the off-the-shelf maps do not cover, such as upgraded turbos or methanol, or for owners who want a calibration built around their exact car. M-Tuner is required.

The price covers one tuning session based on your parts configuration and a single fuel, within a time block of up to seven hours. M-Engineering provides revisions to that map until both parties are satisfied with the results, based on datalogs and feedback. Additional octanes can be added on the same tuning day at extra cost. Cars with an auxiliary fuel system (methanol) or upgraded turbos are more complex, so select the upgraded configuration for those.

ProTunes must be scheduled with more than 24 hours notice, approved by M-Engineering, and completed during business hours, 9 AM to 6 PM Eastern, Monday to Friday. A dyno is highly recommended and in most cases required. A signed liability waiver is required, and under M-Engineering's punctuality policy a session can be cancelled without refund if you are more than an hour late.

Frequently asked questions

Is a ProTune a bench flash or an OBD flash?
Nothing is mailed in. The ProTune is carried out remotely and flashed through the M-Tuner Suite you already own, over the OBD-II port.

How much power will a ProTune add?
M-Engineering does not quote a figure for ProTuning. Results depend on your parts, fuel and dyno, and the map is refined from datalogs until it is right.

Which configuration should I choose?
Choose stock fuel and turbos if your car has neither methanol nor upgraded turbos. Choose the upgraded configuration if either is installed.

Shipping & returns

Shipping: Orders ship via UPS, FedEx or USPS, from our facility near Los Angeles or directly from the manufacturer. Rates for many items are weight-based and shown at checkout. If you need it by a certain date, text us before you order.

Returns: Unused items in brand-new condition and original packaging can be returned within 30 days of the invoice date, with a 25% restocking fee unless otherwise specified. In some cases we can offer a lower fee with the balance as store credit. Shipping charges aren't refundable in either direction unless approved by AutoTalent.

Not returnable: special-order or custom items, and anything that has been installed, modified or altered.

Cancellations: free if the item is out of stock or we miss the ETA you agreed to. Other cancellations carry a 5% processing fee to cover card fees we can't recover. Special-order items can't be cancelled.

Damaged in transit? Report it to the carrier and to us within 48 hours, keep all packaging, and don't send anything back without our written approval.
