PURE Turbos NEW PURE650 Turbo Upgrade 2020-2024 BMW B58 Gen 2

The B58 Gen 2 in the M340i, M440i, M240i, Z4 M40i and X3 and X4 M40i is one of the strongest modern sixes, but its single factory turbo limits how far a tune can go. The NEW PURE650 is a complete new turbocharger for the 6-port cars that supports more than 600 wheel horsepower with fuel, supporting mods and a custom tune, and it comes with the PURE Hi-Flow Inlet. There is no core to send back.

What PURE changes inside

This is a complete new turbocharger, not a rebuild of your old one. PURE builds it on a new aftermarket housing made to the OEM design for the B58 Gen 2 (6-port), so it uses the factory mounting points and connections. Inside are a billet compressor wheel, a high-flow turbine wheel and an upgraded center housing rotating assembly (CHRA), and each unit is balanced on a VSR high-speed balancer before it ships.

No core charge

This is the new-housing version, so the price shown is the full price. There is no core deposit and nothing to send back, and you keep your factory turbo as a spare.

Tuning note from PURE: Bend Calibration tunes are not approved for this turbo. Call us and we can point you to a calibrator PURE works with.

Warranty and use

PURE backs its turbo upgrades with a limited 1-year, unlimited-mile warranty. A custom ECU tune is required, and the warranty assumes a qualified tuner and installer. This part is for off-road and competition use only and is not legal for street use in California or other states with similar emissions rules.

For B58 Gen 2 cars with the 6-port exhaust manifold: the M340i, M440i, M240i, Z4 M40i and X3 and X4 M40i. It does not fit the 2-port cars (540i and X5, X6 and X7 40i); for those, use the PURE650 or PURE800 built on the factory turbo. The GR Supra has its own PURE pages. US model years are listed.
