Performance & Design
After months of research and testing, STILLEN engineers determined that the optimal exhaust design starts with:
- Precision TIG-Welded Stainless Steel Flange – Connects seamlessly to dual 2.5-inch tubes
- CNC-Machined X-Pipe – Balances exhaust flow between banks and enhances sound without restricting performance
- Optimized Exhaust Flow – Provides a cross-sectional area of approximately 4 inches for unrestricted flow
- 304 Stainless Steel Mufflers – Developed in-house with proprietary welding machinery for a high-polish finish and signature “stack of dimes” weld pattern
- Custom Exhaust Tips – Available in polished stainless steel, burnt stainless steel, or carbon fiber
Engineered for the Best Sound
During testing, a true dual-exhaust setup was evaluated but found to be too loud and produced a flat sound, which is common with twin-turbo V6 engines. The X-pipe configuration merges both exhaust banks for a more refined, aggressive tone while maintaining maximum performance.
The design also maximizes the size of the collector that fits through the narrow center tunnel, ensuring the best possible exhaust flow without unnecessary restriction.
