The Urban Automotive rear diffuser replaces the factory lower diffuser on the 8Y Audi RS3 sedan. It frames the two oval tailpipes with a larger carbon fiber center section, and Urban pairs it with left and right corner extensions that carry the shape out to the edges of the rear bumper.

The diffuser is part of Urban's RS3 Saloon aero program, designed and made in-house in the UK and finished in gloss lacquer. It can be fitted on its own or with the matching side sills and trunk spoiler.

Installation

The rear bumper has to come off. Urban's guide points out a hidden locking pin under each rear light that must be released first. The tailpipe surrounds are unscrewed (three T25 screws each side) and the factory diffuser is unclipped. If the car has the gesture sensors, they are transferred to the Urban diffuser. The new diffuser's tabs slot through the bumper, are sanded and bonded from the inside and left taped for 12 hours before the surrounds and bumper go back on.

Fitment Notes

Fits the 8Y Audi RS3 sedan, US model years 2022-2025. Urban developed these parts on its RS3 Saloon kit, which is the body style sold in the US; the European RS3 Sportback hatchback is not sold here. They do not fit the A3 or S3 sedan. Urban notes that the hands-free gesture opening feature, if fitted, no longer works with the carbon diffuser.
