Vorsteiner manufactures its forged wheels in-house at a California facility, using T6-6061 aerospace and medical-grade aluminum sourced domestically. Every multi-piece forged wheel is lab-tested, FEA-simulated, and TÜV-rated for the specific vehicle applications it's sold for — no universal load ratings, no rebadged Asian production. The catalog runs across the VMP multi-piece series, the V-FF monoblock forged line, and the Vorsteiner × Dymag VMP 200 Series 2-piece carbon barrel wheels, with applications covering BMW F8X and G8X M3/M4, F9X M5 and M8, Audi R8 and RSQ8, and broader performance applications.

The Vorsteiner × Dymag collaboration is the flagship of the wheel catalog. Dymag has been building carbon fiber wheel barrels for over a decade — the technology has proven itself in GT3, endurance racing, and factory OE applications on several current supercars. The VMP 200 Series combines a Vorsteiner-forged T6-6061 aluminum center with a Dymag carbon fiber barrel, joined by through-bolts in a 2-piece construction. The weight savings versus an all-aluminum forged wheel of the same size are substantial — meaningful unsprung weight reduction on a wheel that's already lighter than a cast equivalent by a wide margin. Face finish is customizable (standard solid, brushed, or polished; various sheens and colors). The VMP-204 and VMP-206 are current model designations in the series.

Wheels are sold individually (one wheel per line item) in the sizes, widths, and offsets the target applications require. For a full set, plan on four wheels — and for staggered setups, two of one spec for the front and two of another for the rear. Face finish, barrel finish (on 2-piece wheels), and hardware choices are configurable at order time on most VMP applications, with a lead time reflecting the bespoke manufacturing. For the full Vorsteiner catalog including carbon fiber aero across BMW, Lamborghini, and McLaren, see the Vorsteiner parent collection. Call the AutoTalent team for help configuring VMP specifications, confirming fitment, or talking through the VMP 200 Series carbon barrel options.

Are Vorsteiner × Dymag carbon barrel wheels safe?

Yes. Dymag has been making carbon fiber wheel barrels for over a decade and the technology has been proven in GT3 endurance racing and factory OE applications on several current production supercars. The VMP 200 Series is TÜV rated, FEA-tested, and load-rated specifically for each vehicle application it's sold for. Carbon barrel wheels are significantly lighter than all-aluminum forged wheels of the same size — real unsprung weight savings — but they are premium-tier pricing and are matched to the applications and use cases where that weight savings is worth the cost.

Vorsteiner wheels FAQ

Are Vorsteiner wheels good?

Yes. Vorsteiner wheels are engineered for specific vehicles and load-rated for them. The range runs from V-FF flow forged wheels to fully forged VPX monoblock and VMP multi-piece wheels.

What's the difference between V-FF flow forged and fully forged Vorsteiner wheels?

V-FF wheels are flow formed: the barrel is spun and stretched under pressure, which makes it lighter and stronger than a standard cast wheel at a lower price than fully forged. VPX and VMP wheels are forged from solid aluminum for the lowest weight and highest strength.

Which Vorsteiner wheels are most popular?

The V-FF Flow Forged line, including the V-FF 101, 109, 111 and 113, is the most popular for daily drivers, and the VFX-001 and VFX-002 are built for Tesla. VPX monoblock and VMP multi-piece forged wheels are the choice for the lightest weight and custom sizing.

Are Vorsteiner wheels made in Germany?

No. Vorsteiner is an American company based in Southern California.
