Overview

The AMS Performance Auxiliary Intercooler Tank for the Infiniti Q60 3.0t (part number ALP.30.02.0001-1) adds 1.675 gallons of coolant to the air-to-water intercooler system of the twin-turbo VR30. More coolant in the loop takes longer to heat up, so intake temperatures stay lower through hard driving. AMS measured an intercooler outlet temperature drop of almost 35 degrees compared with no tank.

AMS calls it the most important cooling upgrade after its heat exchanger. The tank is shaped to fit out of sight inside the front fender while keeping the stock fender liner, so there are no permanent changes to the car, and INFINITI USA added it to its Motorsport Catalog.

It is TIG welded in the USA from 3mm aluminum to resist flex, uses CNC-machined fittings and is powder coated to stand up to road spray. All the hardware is included.

Is there a Q50 version?
Yes. The Q50 tank (ALP.29.02.0001-1) is shaped for the Q50 fender.

Does it require cutting?
No. It bolts in and keeps the factory fender liner.

What should I install first?
AMS recommends its heat exchanger first, then this tank.
