AMS Alpha Carbon Fiber Intake Duct & Airbox Lid | CLA45 / GLA45 AMG

The AMS Performance Alpha Carbon Fiber Cold Air Inlet Duct and Air Box Lid (part number ALP.19.08.0003-1) replaces the factory plastic duct and lid on the 2.0L M133 turbocharged engine in the Mercedes-AMG CLA45 and GLA45. The stock duct is corrugated inside and has a support pillar in the middle of the airflow path, both of which disturb flow into the turbo.

The Alpha duct removes the corrugations and the pillar for a smooth path, and it keeps the sealed airbox design so the engine breathes cool outside air instead of hot engine bay air. That keeps power consistent with the hood closed, not just on a dyno with the hood open.

The carbon fiber weave and finish are matched to the AMG engine cover and the Alpha logo color matches the AMG trim under the hood. It installs in about 10-15 minutes with no cutting, no permanent changes and no tuning. For the biggest gain, pair it with the Alpha 4" filter and billet adapter, which AMS says adds more than 20 hp on its own.

FAQ

Does it include a filter?
No. This kit is the duct and lid. The Alpha filter and billet adapter are sold separately, or as part of the full Alpha intake system.

Will it work with the factory filter?
Yes. It fits the factory airbox; the Alpha filter and adapter are an optional upgrade.

Why does the carbon look slightly different from part to part?
The parts are hand laid, so small weave variations are normal.

Fitment Notes
