AMS Alpha Race Front Mount Intercooler | 2009-2024 Nissan GT-R R35

The AMS Performance R35 GT-R Race Front Mount Intercooler (part number ALP.07.09.0008-1) was built to keep up with AMS's record-setting Alpha GT-Rs. If your GT-R makes between 1,000 and 1,400 horsepower (roughly 800-1,200 wheel horsepower), or you drive in a hot climate, this mid-size race intercooler is the AMS pick.

It uses a vertical-flow 22" x 14" x 4.5" Garrett bar-and-plate core that holds 92.5% more air volume than the factory pair of intercoolers. The core has up to twice the fin density of most aftermarket cores, so more cool air touches every fin, yet pressure drop across it stays under 1 psi. Billet CNC 3" inlet and outlet ports add strength and flow.

AMS engineered the whole package for fitment: shrouds and bridge plates direct air into the core, and it fits without trimming the factory crash beam or bumper cover. It is TIG welded aluminum with 4-ply silicone couplers.

Race or Race X?
The Race intercooler suits 1,000-1,400 hp. Above about 1,200 hp, especially in hot climates, AMS recommends the Race X.

Do I need new piping?
AMS intercooler piping is recommended for high-power builds; check the coupler kit options with your setup.

Does it require cutting?
No. It fits without trimming the factory crash beam or bumper cover.
