Overview

The AMS Performance R35 GT-R 90mm Race Midpipe with the 90mm exit (part number ALP.07.05.0003-1) is one of the largest midpipes made for the Nissan GT-R. Most systems merge two 76mm (3") pipes into a single 76mm pipe, which creates a bottleneck right where flow is highest. AMS merges the twin 76mm inlets into a 90mm (3.5") primary instead, cutting turbulence and backpressure so the turbos spool sooner and the engine makes more power.

This version keeps the full 90mm diameter all the way to the exit. It is the choice for cars running a 90mm muffler-back system or a full 90mm AMS exhaust. If you plan to keep the factory or a 76mm rear section, AMS also offers the same midpipe with a 76mm exit.

The midpipe is 304 stainless with a .049" wall and is hand TIG welded by AMS fabricators. Twin stainless flex sections with smooth-bore liners absorb engine movement, and every connection uses 3/8" thick flanges, so there are no band clamps or slip joints to come loose. It fits like the factory part with no ground clearance problems.

FAQ

90mm or 76mm exit?
Choose the 90mm exit if your rear section is 90mm. Choose the 76mm-exit version to keep the factory or a 76mm muffler-back system.

Is it street legal?
No. This race midpipe has no catalytic converters. AMS offers a catted 90mm midpipe for street cars.

Does it need a tune?
A tune is recommended whenever exhaust flow changes this much, and it is required with catless downpipes.

Returns: Unused items in brand-new condition and original packaging can be returned within 30 days of the invoice date, with a 25% restocking fee unless otherwise specified. In some cases we can offer a lower fee with the balance as store credit. Shipping charges aren't refundable in either direction unless approved by AutoTalent.

Not returnable: special-order or custom items, and anything that has been installed, modified or altered.

Cancellations: free if the item is out of stock or we miss the ETA you agreed to. Other cancellations carry a 5% processing fee to cover card fees we can't recover. Special-order items can't be cancelled.
