Overview

The AMS Performance Subaru EJ Intake Manifold in the reverse rotation layout turns the throttle body opening around compared with the standard version, which helps on builds with relocated intercooler piping or rotated turbo kits. It is the same cast manifold AMS developed in house with SolidWorks and CFD software, and AMS recorded gains of up to 51 wheel horsepower over the factory manifold.

Inside is a 4.5-liter plenum that feeds 13" equal-length runners with a 2.5" (63.5mm) inside diameter. The runners taper and are angled to match the cylinder head ports, and CNC-machined billet aluminum bellhorns act as internal velocity stacks for a broad, usable powerband. The ports at the head are oversized so they can be matched to ported heads.

The throttle body opening accepts throttle bodies up to 2.625" (66.675mm), or 70mm with mild porting, and the manifold works with top-feed injectors and aftermarket fuel rails. Choose the uncoated cast finish or the textured red powder coat from the options menu.

FAQ

What is the difference from the standard manifold?
Only the throttle body orientation. The reverse rotation version points the throttle body the other way for different charge pipe routing.

Does it work with a top mount intercooler?
No. AMS says it is not compatible with top mount intercoolers.

Can I keep the factory coolant reservoir?
Not in its stock spot. AMS notes custom brackets are needed to mount the upper coolant reservoir.

Fitment Notes

Shipping: Orders ship via UPS, FedEx or USPS, from our facility near Los Angeles or directly from the manufacturer. Rates for many items are weight-based and shown at checkout. If you need it by a certain date, text us before you order.

Returns: Unused items in brand-new condition and original packaging can be returned within 30 days of the invoice date, with a 25% restocking fee unless otherwise specified. In some cases we can offer a lower fee with the balance as store credit. Shipping charges aren't refundable in either direction unless approved by AutoTalent.

Not returnable: special-order or custom items, and anything that has been installed, modified or altered.

Cancellations: free if the item is out of stock or we miss the ETA you agreed to. Other cancellations carry a 5% processing fee to cover card fees we can't recover. Special-order items can't be cancelled.

Damaged in transit? Report it to the carrier and to us within 48 hours, keep all packaging, and don't send anything back without our written approval.
